A geographical map of the Naruto world, made for my fanfiction Worth Dying For .Basically, I couldn't find any really good, up-to-date maps of the Elemental Nations, so I wound up compiling all the ones I could find and making my own. Most of the countries and hidden villages are all from canon, though some (ie everything on the eastern continent except for Marsh and Demon Country) were placed at random. All the names are from canon though, minus Keishi. Same thing for village and capital locations - what I could find from canon are in their place, the rest were placed at random. None of the names of bodies of water are canon, and I'm far from being able to speak Japanese so meaning-wise they might be a bit off.
If anyone notices any countries or location that are wrong, please tell me so that I can fix it!
Also, the scale is "accurate", based off the idea that a long caravan can cover around 20 miles a day (based on estimates from old covered wagons + terrain type + all animals being pretty sturdy in the shinobi world) and that it took around 4 day for that caravan to go from Leaf to Keishi, making that distance about 80 miles.

To anyone asking: I don't mind at all if you use these maps for your stories, so long as proper credit is given.

there is one thing that I found wrong here. The perimeter of the Earth is 40030 Km (24000 miles). However, your map shows the perimeter to only be around 1300 miles. I don't know exactly what you're missing, but it's something big, like an ocean. Or your scaling could be incorrect. Either way, thank you for making this wonderful map

Just so you know, Iron and Bear are reversed on this map (because Naruto travels to the land of iron without passing through enemy territory and al else is right so by process of elimination...)
And I do believe the location of the land of sky is correct, because in the naruto movies the sky ninja attacked from the sea and also because they fought in the second shinobi war and challenged the 5 nations they must have been a large country, probably somewhat near to the Nations because ninja flew all the way there on gliders.

Really nice map! I just have one question, though, regarding the placement of Sunagakure... and the Land of Iron. NO OFFENSE MEANT! I just have a ... minor perfectionist streak and a tendency towards nitpicking.Β
First, Iron- according to Narutopedia, the Land of Iron is located in the Land of Lightning... but I'll agree that where they put it doesn't really make sense. I'd assume maybe... northwest of the Land of Lightning, if they really wanted to be as far from ninja as possible? Or maybe just west...
Now for Suna! In the anime, it was said that it took three days for a shinobi to get from Konoha to Suna. It's about 300 miles, according to the map. Let's assume that shinobi have, say 11 hours when not running, with 1 hour for rests during the day and the rest divided between getting food, setting up camp, sleeping, and/or keeping watch while the rest of the team is sleeping. That would mean that the "sleep time" is about 9 hours for a three-man team, and 8 hours for a four-man team if we assume that shinobi need to sleep at least 6 hours a day, which in my opinion is the bare minimum.
3 x (24-11) = 3 x 13 = 39.Β
300 / 39 = ninja running 7.7 mph.
Which is perfectly normal for a human marathon runner, but for a ninja...Β
No offense, but wouldn't Sunagakure then have to be considerably farther from Konoha, depending on how fast shinobi can run?
I can't find a good source, but I'm going to assume that sprinting + chakra ~ as a fast as a cheetah, based on visuals (and even then, I'm probably underestimating), which is approximately 60 mph. And if a normal human sprints at up to 15 mph, I'd put a shinobi's average speed of tree hopping is at least 30 mph, if tree-hopping is faster than running (which we're led to believe) and they run at about 20-25 mph.
P.S. Do you have a possible location for the Land of Sky? I'm just curious... maybe where you put Iron right now?

This Kanishii Ocean is quite nice looking; it looks like a huge meteor plowed it out millions of years ago. I've got something similar in my world of Seldomknowne.

You know about the story how the sage of the six paths made the moon in the naruto world?Β
It is also very small and has a low orbit.
It is also very interesting that Kanashii ocean is basically a giant crater and by the land surrounding it it looks like it was once a solid landmass.Β
And the cibaku tensei, which he used, uses the stone and earth from its surroundings to create a small planetary body.
So I wouldnΒ΄t be surprised if this is the place where it happened.

No he didn't. Whirlpool was wiped from the map in the Second War, Wave Country is actually what little remains.

Hey, Can I maybe borrow this for my Naruto fanfics? Because it is epic awesome! and the best one I have found. Although I have to ask where you would put Whirlpool while it had existed. On some maps I see it where Wave is, but those maps never have Wave on them, and the ones that do have Wave have Whirlpool as the slightly bigger island Northeast of the island of Wave. What do you think?

Oh man, I'm totally using this as a geography reference from now on. Also, my only issue with it is that you didn't include This Country and That Country (Ko no Kuni and Ka no Kuni) in this. They're in between River Country and Fire Country, according to the anime.

What program did you use to make this Map? Equipment? What was your process? I draw a lot of maps for various projects I'm writing, however, rarely do they come out anywhere near as good as this.

Wow this is amazing. I'm currently working on a fanfic for naruto and at the moment rewriting the whole thing. I pretty much intend on making my own map based on what is actually shown in manga and anime. I found a few versions of maps that create a correct picture based on both canon and filler data like yours. Although I intend on expanding my own map to show the entire world as I have introduced other nations in my fic.

Konoha -Japan both traditional, Imperila etc
Suna- Middle East and Muslim countries
Kiri-England and Europe and Monarchies
Kumo-America and Capitalist countries
Iwa China and Russia and Communist countries

Wow, you really did a great job, I have the same problem as you, I was looking for a good map of the Elemental Countrys of Naruto world, I couldnt find any good map, I really thank you for doing this map and the political map.
I always have problems to understand how the Naruto world worked, but the only thing that I didnt like of this maps, are the names of the villages. Why you didnt put the japonese names of them?

Can you make a Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z World map? Because all that I could find are of low resolution, and you are very good doing maps.
There basic is the same map, only that a few locations and some citys change of name between Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.
