I realize at first glance this may be a wee bit confusing; the central idea of this is the Hurricane. Ripped directly from my wonderful opponent =Greyflame s story, his character Kyran is chasing this storm in hopes of capturing the Rayquaza which resides within its depths; at least that's how I've interpreted it... and so minutes before his confrontation with the Lord of the Dragons, little Miss Kylie has bumped into him... and naturally a violent and bloody battle ensues.
Black and White!! Because it's more mysterious an a hell-of-a-lot quicker then colour. I actually prefer this page to ones from previous rounds.
ehe! Painter really didn't like this page, so this here is version three, or was it four? I began to lose count of the amount of times it crashed xD. Please just excuse the crappy colouring.

Very nice, I'm liking the monochromatic color scheme, it sets the mood really well in my opinion. The whole buildup to the fight works very well, I never got lost in the panels, and I could always tell who was talking. That close-up panel of ariados is gonna give me nightmares, haha. (But in a good way!)
I know you are under a time limit for these, so I understand if it's not really possible, but I really think it would do you some good to work a bit more on your human faces.
You draw pokemon so well that when we have a page full of human dialogue leading up to a couple awesomely drawn monsters, the difference between your creatures and your people really pops out to me.
Can't wait to see the next page, I really want to see how you manage to take down that dragon...

And yeah; because I generally don't do much background stuff I did need a couple of references; just for things like the harbor shape, the building architecture for things like the Colosseum, Roman Temples and whatnot, and then just a couple of tornado funnels.

Where do I begin? With panel 1 I guess. Beautiful shot of the coastline. I love the details you put into the city and stadium area. The grayscale works great for this entry. It complements the storm theme you're going for (and it made me very happy to see that element of Kyran's plot picked up), establishes an excellent mood, and makes the colors you included stand out in a really cool way.
Flower and Skunk's entrances were downright EPIC. You made them both look incredibly badass.
You've got me even more excited for the coming pages. I'm glad I put as much work as I did into my entry, 'cause you've made it clear this will be that battle of a lifetime >: D

I'm absolutely stoked that you approve of my incorporation of your storm in there, I think in my last few rounds I've butchered my opponents characters a wee bit so I'm certainly making an effort not to have mister Kyran suffer the same fate xD.
aha people notice my coastline city bit... I've never spent so long on a background before; it's certainly wonderful to get feedback on it straight away xD! And the Greyscale; it's something other entries this round seem to be leaning towards so I tried it out too; it makes things a lot easier both time and effort wise, and it contributing to that mood must just be some sort of lucky bonus!
Seriously thanks so much man, the coming pages might not be *quite* as polished as this one, but I'm hoping they'll still satisfy
