sometimes i feel that it doesn't matter how hard i try, i just can't get myself satisfied enough with my outcomes

First of all, let me say I am impressed. I have just recently gotten started with Illustrator/Vector art and I am far away from your technical skill! I really love your clear and minimalistic lines while your use of gradients add depth to the image. However, since you wrote that you wanted to work on your composition skills, here are my impressions on that regard:
1) The stroke around the raised fist is too heavy in comparison to the other line-art. The fist is already dominating the mid section of the image and the heavy stroke alienate it from the rest of the (great) symbolism.
2) The bottom half of the image is quite empty- a bigger helicopter and zeppelin, both positioned at the same heigth could make up for that - and, maybe, drawing them from the same angle would further help to immerse the viewer into the artwork?
3) The grey borders disrupt my flow of view. Extending the structure into the background faces might have been the more elegant solution?
Anyway, I still really like this image - the hidden symbolism is a nice but perfect complementation to the perfectly matched soviet style! Thumbs up!
