FINNNAALLLYYY A decent Reference sheet for almost all of my watcher's favorite character of mine.
ALCAINE!!!
Bio: He doesn't Have a Story as of Yet... Thinking something along the lines of he destroyed everything he once cared about slowly until there was nothing left but blind hatred for everything alive.
Alcaine WAS a Wolf, and is Now a Demon. So yes, His teeth are longer then a normal wolf, so are his claws, and obviously his awesome tail of fire-fog evilness. Some poeple think its fire, some fog, But really, Whatever you wanna do when drawing him works out.

Thisimage while well founded in it's originality of character has some parts to it that do not fit well. When looking at an animal's body language this particular animal's over all body does not have one emotion or base to it. It's head is saying anger while it's legs are saying relaxed and it's behind is saying that it's afraid as is the arch of the back and the way the tail goes between the legs. If you want an over all fierce look the dog should have been placed in a more crouch and ready to attach stance or you could have toned down the face a touch to give him a more relaxed yet still evil look to him. One could also try making the tail look more like part of the dog/wolf rather than fog that trails after it by either giving the body a bit more smokey feel toward the back or having a bit of the tail be more solid right up against the body.
The body porportions are just aout spot on to how a wolf or wolflike dog would be. However, if you want even more wolfness to him you could make the paws just abit fatter.
I enjoy the overall concept but am not thrilled with the overall impact of this figure.

Hey, Remember how you asked for a commission of this guy from me? yeahh, I was just wondering if you had a special brush set that you used for his tail or his musical markings? if not, thats okay

No, i dont have any brushes. What i Do is a lot of smudging and opacity effects for his tail, and I draw the musical noes. And for the tail symbols I use my ref. I use the lasso tool to drag the signs from my ref to the drawing, and re-size as needed/turn them about. (Ctrl+T)

This 'new' ref (I know I'm late for the grand premiere XD) is so brilliant! *___* I love the anatomy, and the BEAUTIFUL tail. If you want critique, perhaps his back is TOO round, take a look at the reference you used [link] the back is a bit more straight and gets rounder further to the 'butt' area, I'm sorry for my english skills. XD But oh my, I love this character so much! Just like everyone else! It's like he is from the Okami universe, he's really handsome. X)

Well, It was a pretty wasy test since I studied. nothing really STUMPED me, so I hope I did well.

I'm actually freaking out right now, because I looked at the requirements for the Game Art major at SCAD and they want you to spend 90 hours on random classes like sciences and maths and only 45 on your actual major, which I do not want. And I also want to incorporate animation, sequential art, and illustration because I want to be good at this digital painting and concept art nonsense. So I'm trying to figure out how to cram four majors and a minor into a good major/minor balance. It's not working!

Oh, lol! I'm not actually going to take four majors. I would shoot myself, and I wouldn't be able to afford it anyway XD. I meant that I need to figure out how to cram the content taught in four different majors into one or two majors or a major and a minor or something, assuming I even have the money for that. So basically I'm doing what you're doing, taking elective classes in other majors, I just have to figure out which ones.

That's my plan as well (not the same fields, obviously, but taking classes from other fields). The only problem is I can't pick a major! It's so frustrating! I went to an adviser and she had to consult with other advisers and in the end they couldn't come up with any ideas for me either. But they did at least point me in the direction of this Q&A session that I might get some insight from

Yeah, I guess it is. It materialized into nothingness? I want to take astronomy too! But I'd have to get out of math somehow and SCAD changed the test this year to be insanely hard apparently. So November 5th, I'm getting my ass handed to me by a math test. Wish me luck! XD

I didn't even bother taking my school's math test. And I'm glad. There was calculus on it according to a friend of mine. Calculus and I don't get along very well. My roommate did the AP Maths in high school and she didn't pass (but only by one point). I would have failed so hard! D: And we can only take it once. So yeah, be very happy you passed yours. Hell, I'm very happy you passed yours for you! I do happy dance in honor of your math ass-kicking!
