Description
My pastor asked if I would do this picture for him. It was fun! ^_^Don't bother telling me that the proportions are incorrect, that was intentional. I wanted to portray Christ as having big hands with great power, but opened up to the reaching girls.

Ah, beautiful picture! It's so true to the description...
'Someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet with a golden sash round his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eye were like blazing fire...' (Revelations)

???
I am inclined to disagree. If you look very closely, you will notice that there is a nicely jointed area in between his upper arm and his torso. This finely tuned ball joint is what is called, in the English language, the "shoulder."
That is your anatomy lesson for today.
Next time: Grammar! ^__^

I think I already mentioned that the proportions were off in some places intentionally. It's not a piece of super-realism, I didn't intend it to be.
Frankly, I don't know what Christ will look like in all of His glory. This is hardly even an educated guess. It's the meaning of the picture that I was seeking to unfold. The love of the Savior, His power, His warm smile. I really don't know if the picture would have the same appeal if I had given Him realistic proportions.

Scanning quality can't really do all that much anyway. I mean, when you are looking at an original work, you can see the actual strokes of the pencil. You can see the indentions in the paper so as to understand the intensity of the artist. There is just too much that computers cannot simulate from one's work.
