You see, I'm very curious to see how that ended up. Cause either Shikamaru backed off, or he ended up with a busted head...

lmao. thats hilarious
i think what happened was he picked her up with like one hand and was like "LET (thefuck) GO." and then threw her on a bed.

Or, he said "no", she said, "NO YOU F**KING DIDN'T", and threw HIM onto the bed. She strikes me as a... dominating character...

No, no, no, he's APATHETIC all of the time. And in Shippuden he gets really angsty all of the time, he's neeeeeeeeeevveeeeeeeer angry. Ino, now she's always, ALWAYS angry.

Xubbles In reply to stmemmerson121 [2011-06-09 05:38:26 +0000 UTC]
well in my opinion angst includes anger. happy people are never angsty.
and yes, apathetic. except when it comes to ino, cuz she annoys him. and again, annoyed includes angry to an extent.

I really want to see a Naruto episode/chapter where Shikamaru gets so sick of Ino that he just sticks her into a wardrobe or something and locks her in. That would have me on the floor laughing so hard that I cried.
And i think what you meant to say was, "anger includes angst", not, "angst includes anger".
π: 0 β©: 1
Xubbles In reply to stmemmerson121 [2011-06-09 05:48:32 +0000 UTC]
no i meant what i said. i thot about it; you can be mad without being angsty. but not angsty without being unhappy about something. cuz angst is normally the result of being perpetually mad about something. or perpetually annoyed lol. but it could go either way, its all in your perspective.
and yeah that would b funny. or, like in another fanfic i read, he can use his jutsu on her and make her do things.. haha
π: 0 β©: 1
stmemmerson121 In reply to Xubbles [2011-06-09 05:58:57 +0000 UTC]
Actually, you can be angsty without feeling unhappy. It's defined as "a deep anxiety or dread". Therefore, anger has nothing to do with angst, but, yeah, it's like you said, it's all dependant on your perspective.
I know, right? I don't think that there's anyone who hasn't wondered whether Shikamaru would (or could) ever use his jutsu on Ino... what fanfic was it?
π: 0 β©: 1
Xubbles In reply to stmemmerson121 [2011-06-09 06:37:46 +0000 UTC]
well i guess in the all cases ive seen dread was the cause lol. hence the unhappy. i cant imagine calling an anxious person angsty. i think the connotation of the word is really the only way its used nowadays.
he definitely could! it was called touch without feeling. by j-pop princess

HAHAHA, so you don't like yuri, you only like yaoi? Geez, if a guy says he only liked yuri, and doesn't like yaoi, people say it's only cause he wants to see two chicks getting it on. (I'M IMPLYING SOMETHING)
Nah, I can read lemons, but I get that niggling annoyance in the back of my head when I'm reading the character who sleeps with two different guys/girls and THEN decides to go with one over the other. Or if they don't decide. Probably cause I was raised Christian...
But, I digress, why only boyxboy? Is it the previously inferred reason? Or some other reason?

LOL UHM i do want to see two guys getting it on
;DDD
and uh, i dont read stories where ppl sleep around...ino just is a girl i would imagine dates alot, so i could see her taking a chance with anyone. but not more than one boy a story..
well maybe two 0u0 but she wont need to decide. they will all probly (not) live happily ever after together!
but i mean i like girlxboy too. idk how im supposed to enjoy two girls...i dont wanna see/think about that lol. nothing there for my enjoyment hahah

stmemmerson121 In reply to Xubbles [2011-06-15 08:40:02 +0000 UTC]
As to the first statement. I laughed. LOUDLY. Seriously, I think I'm actually getting a stitch from that.
Okay, I get that you don't read stories about... well, to be polite, harlots. I've just read stories (good stories, mind you) where there have been characters who do that.
And I agree about Ino. Totally agree.
The thing is, though, I feel odd talking to someone of the opposite gender about this, because, as I mentioned, I grew up in a fairly conservative family, surrounded by EXTREMELY conservative families, I've never really talked about anything like this with someone of the fairer sex...
But, I digress; I've read stories with two girls, and with guyxgirl, and with guyxguy. I tend to sway more towards the hetero stories, though... I don't tend to like too much smut. And when a guy is writing about two girls together, there will be SMUUUUUUT.
As to your last point, there are large numbers of women who would disagree with you there

and yes, that is true about the guy writing girl girl lol. sometimes i like smut, sometimes not so much. depends on the pairing and my mood haha
and yes there are many girls that would disagree! but im not one of them. men for my eyes only please <3

I appreciate your attempts to corrupt me, but that ain't gonna happen. I've seen the offended page and rule34.com. My mind has been corrupted. I'm honestly one cynical bastard. World weary, some might say...
But, I digress, it's not that I'm so innocent that I think girls don't talk about this stuff, it's just that I've never talked to anyone about that sort of stuff.
And my lord, I have no problem with smut, as long as it has a basis, but sometimes fanfic smut is more like literary porn.
But yeah, I tend to read more romantic fanfics. I'm a little fluffy like that :3
Still, though, romantic still gets disturbing sometimes. Like, say, yaoi pairing, when one of the characters is a dragon. That'd ju- I can- no. Just no.

You're not trying to do anything!?!?! Your last comment began with, "NEED TO BE CoRuPtEdEddDDddDd!!!"
Anyhows, there's nothing wrong with smut, in the same way that there's nothing wrong with a raunchy sex scene in a movie. There's something wrong with literary porn in the same way that there's something wrong with regular porn. The whole, "oh no, my plumber is here and I have nothing to pay him with" is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD!!!
Like I said, smut with a point is good. Smut without a point is porn, and me no likey!
Anyway, onto your next comment. I love fluff. And here's why. Real life relationships (ignoring for a minute that real life relationships aren't generally as fluffy as stories) don't generally happen to people like me besides, aren't guys normally into the "down and dirty stuff"? STOP DESTROYING MY STEREOTYPES!!!
But, I digress to your third paragraph; hippogriff... my God...
π: 0 β©: 1
Xubbles In reply to stmemmerson121 [2011-06-23 04:54:50 +0000 UTC]
i was just saying, not doing.
and its only bad in ur opinion. i have to b in a mood for it. and the plumber thing is old and cliche, but there are plenty of very good pwps (porn without plots) out there
and id have to disagree. relationships generally come with a honeymoon phase, which is like the first 3 months. completely and utterly ridiculously fluffy. and even afterwards, its more likely that ur bf/gf surprise you with flowers than surprise buttsex after breaking into your bedroom window. which is why i read it. cuz it never really happens lol, atleast not as far as i know...
if it does, sign me up for watever man does that!
girls and guys like down and dirty stuff. idk where you've been lol. just like how both girls and guys like fluff. men and women arent exactly that different when it comes to sex and fantasy. id say about an equal amount of girls like fluff to the guys that do. its just more popular (i guess*) to see girls liking fluff and guys liking the dirty. buttttt trust me, plenty of hoards and hoards of girls like the dirty lol
*and the reason i say i guess is because ive seen more girls liking dirty stuff than vice versa lol. i feel like the older you get, the more overated fluff gets.. so maybe you are just not old enough to appreciate the dirty lol

stmemmerson121 In reply to Xubbles [2011-06-30 11:16:38 +0000 UTC]
It's very interesting that we've ended up arguing from the opposite side of the gender stereotypes. I, personally, have a problem with pornography. You (I have inferred, correct me if I'm wrong) watch pornography, and have enjoyed it.
And I'd disagree with your disagreement
Yes, every relationship has a "honeymoon phase", but realistically, it's not all fluff, and cuddling, and sickeningly sweet clichΓ© stuff. Although my point there was more that since I've never been in a relationship with a member of the fairer sex, I love fluff because I have never experienced it.
Let me figure out this next paragraph. You want a man who will surprise you with flowers and buttsecks?!?!
And to clarify, I do know that girls and guys both like dirty stuff. I have two sisters, I do have some idea of the way womens minds work (at least, as much as a guy can know what a womans mind is like, that is to say, not really at all). Guys liking fluff is (for the most part) bull-crap though. There are exceptions, such as myself, my two best friends... well, that and the guys at my church. But easily 90 percent of the guys I know are fans of the dirty, and hate fluff. Maybe it's just the guys at my school, but that's my life experience. As for your desired man, surprising you with flowers and sexual deviancy, you could find a billion men who would do the flowers, and 2 billion men who would do the sexual deviancy, but I'd say there'd be a small crossover of men who'd do both. Well, actually, it depends on the age of the man in question...
But yeah, you're probably right about the girls, what with you being one and all.
Oh, and (just to be a little bit of an English Nazi) hoard is to collect and keep things, the word you're looking for is horde
One more thing, I have no problem with girls liking smut any more than I have a problem with guys liking smut.
Oh, and (and this is the last thing) not old enough? How old are you?
hehe. The last time I asked a girl that she slapped me... Of course, she was something like 85...

Sorry, I was more making a joke than actually making a judgement, but you can't convey tone through text. And I'm not telling you what you can or can't read, or what fanfiction can be, I was only making an observation that a lot of fanfictions are written by people who are obsessed with bad lemons. Sorry if I sounded judgemental, I tend to say things straight, which doesn't work so well sometimes.
But, on another topic, if you read fanfics, how can you not read what I described? Honestly, I've been reading fanfics for at least 3 or 4 years, and I still have huge troubles not choosing crap, like, 50/50 chance.
And to end, you're right, I'm told by many people, on regular occasions, to just shut up.

and no, i come across those, i don't read them. i read the first few sentences and make a judgment. if i'm considering giving it a chance, like maybe it'll get better, then i'll skim through it really fast to see if anything good catches my eye. a majority of fanfiction is that crap, but no i dont read it.

Thanks, this has been a fun conversation.
I tend to come across them, but the only thing I tend to draw the line at is appalling grammar or spelling. I don't mind the occasional spelling mistake, or a lack of an apostrophe, but I've read some where, I swear, every second word is wrong! I digress, though, some crap isn't so bad... I tend to read crap, even if I know it is. It's probably a bad habit, but it's either fun to read good crap, or to laugh at how crap it is.
