More traditional art practicing. I think I'm doing alright for now. I've been working on the lighting and shading the most. Tried to match the colors as best as I can.
So, these are my favorite characters from Pokemon. James is my favorite human character while Delcatty is my favorite pokemon. So I decided to draw them together.

James is my favorite human character mainly because he deeply loves pokemon and pokemon love him. He never battles them to catch them, he befriends them and they decide to go with him with their own will. He has a great relationship with all of his pokemon and some scenes in the anime where he has to leave a pokemon behind (Like Weezing, Cacnea, Chimeco and his Growlie) are truly heartbreaking. In my opinion he's the best trainer ever, even though he's supposed to be the "bad guy". I also like his story and I always assumed he secretly loves Jessie but never admits it (the same way as her ) Rocketshipping ftw!

Delcatty is my favorite pokemon simply because I fell in love with it the first time I saw it in the episode "Delcatty got your tongue". I was 10 years old then and the advanced challenge season of pokemon was dubbed in my language. I also named my favorite cat Delcatty after it. (sadly, she's long gone..)

And that's my explanation. However, even though James never had a Delcatty in the anime (it would've been soooo awesome for me if he had one) he meets one in my personal theory about something (even though the Delcatty is not actually his )
