Nothing really, our energy even gets drained during the fireworks lighting sometimes we dont even eat for Media Noche anymore : )) Annd it's (i think) in the belief of Pinoys that when you jump at New Year's eve you'd grow taller by the year? haha our race is pretty short compared to others see

Media Noche is the feast we hold during New Year's Eve, then there's Buena Noche at Christmas Eve

Yea we do fireworks for the 4th of July.We don't do food or anything for the new year usually...but maybe that's just my family haha.We just watch "the ball" drop for the new year

O wow that must be so cool!On the 4th of july and the new years you can hear gunshots go off but fireworks are illegal to set off here(the big ones)unless you have well whatever fancy license that is required(that doesn't stop people though, police men have come to our house asking where we saw the fireworks shoot from.Awkward.I'm just like idk sir )

wow. O_0 it's the complete opposite here! Fireworks are fine but guns! wow.... you know a lot of people died here because of "ligaw na bala" gunshots shooting out of nowhere i think almost 60 people had already been reported with fatal injuries @_____@ and.. some of them died i think
well.... originally we werent supposed to light up fireworks since the authorities here said we couldn't. BUT THEY ANNOUNCED IT AT THE FRCKIN MORNING OF 31ST so, of course by that time we'd already bought fireworks- i mean the whole neighborhood had some already and 30 minuutes into midnight we all ought to think new year isn't new year without them so fuck da police lol we all lighted it and the authorities couldn't possibly put everyone in detention because of that and they couldn';t even get out on the streets to catch us cause fireworks were shooting up everywhere. No one in the neighborhood got into any accident (assuming that's the reason they banned the lighting in the first place) and we ended up spending new year's like always lol

only people with firework/gun permits can use them.But for the 4th the city people(idk what to call them ;/) are in charge of getting the big fireworks.
They go off for about 20-30 minutes,and range from small ones,to big multicolored shaped ones.
They are very pretty and we watch them on my front porch looking over the church in front of us.
but ppl say screw the police and shoot off both anyway.the problem is ppl dont know how to use fireworks and one even got shot into the side of our house and did some damage.I was like
oh, but and the fairs,rides,and concerts down at the park are fun too~And the family gathers for like another thanksgiving,soo its all good.
