Horses were Sinder's favorite thing. Aside from girls. And sex. And liquor. And smoking. And... Okay, so he had a lot of favorite things. But horses were definitely up there, specifically sporthorses and warmbloods - things that could JUMP.

Word had reached Scotland a few days earlier regarding the Spavivent and naturally, he had immediately made plans to go off and see what there was there for him to get his hands on. Admittedly, he'd been at first a bit dismayed to learn that it wasn't a traditional auction where whoever bid the most and was considered the best home got the animal; no, this was interesting. Prospective buyers had to work with the horse; they were required to attend a seminar to train the horse with one of the SPaVES trainers (for dressage or jumping respectively) and then to show the horse.

He'd been intrigued enough to snap up the the last mare being offered, a pretty, slightly-tarnished black thing with white on her front feet, face and belly, a kind eye and a somewhat capricious air about her.

Her name was Relativity and he liked her from the moment he fed her an apple and she tried to bite his thumb off. Once he'd jerked his hand away, inspected what would doubtless become a lovely bruise, he'd laughed and patted her on the neck, somewhat smitten, glad he'd come and found her, hoping dearly to bring her back with him.
