Character Overview

Name Pronunciation-Ze-fur

Species-Grey wolf

Gender-Male

Age-Nineteen (they have human life spans)

Nicknames-Zeph. Zephy (he doesn’t care for this one).

Relations-Nero (father), Jade (mother), Alisa (foster sister), Sonya (foster mother), and Tera (girlfriend).

Scars-A long, deep pinkish scar running across his left shoulder. Most of his other wounds have healed enough that they aren’t visible anymore.

Physical Appearance-Silver with a grey-white chest and belly. He has a spiky black hair tuft atop his head, a black stripe running from his head down to the tip of his tail, two forked stripes running off each of his eyes, and two black dashes on each side of his muzzle. These dashes are known as royalty marks and are part of the genetic line of the royal family. All royals are born with these marks, including Zepher’s father, Nero. Zepher has a long, bushy tail, sturdy legs, broad paws, thick black eyebrows, and pale blue eyes. Intense training has given him very pronounced, almost cat-like shoulders that show most when he’s moving, but can be seen no matter what position he’s in. The rest of his body is sleek, and muscled, yet not bulky, making him extremely swift and agile.

Clothing/Jewelry-He wears a small gold loop earring in his left ear and a blue triangular gemstone in a silver fixture with two spikes on each buttom tip, hanging from a black cloth necklace.

Personality-As a pup he was cheery, sweet, talkative, loved to listen to stories, and liked spending his time wrestling with his father, Nero, and adoptive sister, Alisa. As he grows, though, he is traumatically exposed to the darker side of his soul, and he lives in fear of the demons of his past and the cold side of his heart. Due to this, he rarely smiles, and when he does, it’s usually forced out of him by someone making him laugh, which only ever gets on his nerves. He trusts only a small circle of friends, but prefers to stay self-reliant and shrugs away any kind of leadership for fear that he will lead his followers down the wrong road. Injustice is most certainly his biggest pet peeve, the thought of justice not being brought to those who deserve it will eat away at him and turn his frustration to burning rage until he is compelled to serve the justice himself. Although he was born a Prince, the son of the renowned Alphas, Nero and Jade, Zepher did not live a comfortable life for long, and is practiced in an incredible style of fighting which gives him an advantage over most opponents. He’s defensive, but quiet, able to hold his tongue until the right moment, and by then, his attacker won’t know what hit them. He’s a very handsome young male, and turns the heads of most she-wolves, yet he hates to be flirted with. Most are quickly turned off by his anti-social personality, but those who take the time to get to know him will find an incredibly loyal, devoted friend for life. Zepher is plagued by terrible nightmares, but in his soul is a power even he isn’t fully aware of.

Artist's Comments

My pride and joy and my fursona, I'm so happy I finally made Zepher look like I wanted him to look. I think the rest of the profiles for my graphic novel Midnight Hearts will be done like this, because it takes less time and isn’t as frustrating. For me, the body styles don’t vary much between my wolf characters, so my main priority is to get down their faces before I start the comic. I didn’t add his pendant here, maybe because I didn’t want it obstructing the view, maybe because I thought it would be riding lower on his neck, or maybe just because I forgot, but either way, he doesn’t get the pendant until a couple of issues in, so you’ll be seeing him without it for quiet a while in the comic. Now I’ll carry a comment over from his last profile: two things I want to address, his blue eyes are not genetic nor naturally given, they are a result of a power within him (can’t tell you too much about that yet) and neither of his parents had blue eyes like this. Also, the pendant he wears does not give him his power, it is merely a symbol of it. If you want to draw him for fan or gift art, that’s fine (in fact, I encourage it) just give me credit for the story and character. He appears as a pup to begin with, but only for a short time. As a pup he was small for his age, but when he reached puberty, he shot up to be a strong, average-sized male grey wolf.
