This photo was taken before the Eurocosplay contest so the costume was not finished then. The photoshoot was a prize I won at SakuraCon and I was looking forward to it because I had never had a professional studio photoshoot before that. The con was in April but the the photoshoot was in the middle of October... I had to wait for half a year for the whole stuff - and this approach was not professional... I was not satisfied with the photographers either and from the 30 photos they took only three are acceptable... This is one of them. I don't really like it but fortunately, my make-up is visible just like my blue contacts.

Crazy elaborate. Gorgeous costume, great work on putting it all together. Putting together all the embroided bits, lace, charms, jewelry, and accessories must have been a pain, but that work paid off!
If you ever take this to Sakura-con again, I'd absolutely enjoy getting you some shots of this, hopefully ones you'd be satisfied with~

It wasn't painful at all, I enjoyed all the nine months I had been working on this costume.
This SakuraCon was in Budapest, Hungary, so I think it would not be easy to arrange a photoshoot with you.

awesome photo! I like the fact that you changed yor costume to be more perfect on eurocosplay! by the way in portugal there are only one or 2 professional photographers of cosplay and they usualy just go to one con in each year XD portugal sucks so much XD

It was the least I could do after I was lucky enough to participate in the contest.
In Hungary there are more photographers who focus on cosplay... I know six or seven... And of course many-many amateurs who can take surprisingly wonderful photos. But it's still quite a few. At this photoshoot I had photographers who knew nothing about cosplay and they looked at me like I was a lunatic... It wasn't a good experience.

But indeed, we have a lot of pro photographers at each event and they're doing great free pictures. Sorry your shoot didn't turn out as you wanted :-/ however I like this pic!

We also have professional photographers at conventions but this studio session was supposed to be something special. Unluckily, it wasn't. But I'm happy that you like this pic.

It is more comfortable than it looks like. The back of the gown is opened so I don't feel hot while wearing it. I can move my arms easily and I can sit down when I want.

I must admit that a prize for winning such an amazing award at sakuacon, photoshoot session is kinda... lame? In poland we have proffessional studio at each con, photographers from it are really friendly and pro - they took most photos of my costumes and lately we started to work together more so the outcome is just great to me

In Hungary we also have professional photoshoot sessions but unfortunately, not in studios but usually in open-air. This was the first time when studio photoshoots were offered as a surcharge for three contestants - I was one of them. I was very happy with it for the first time, but in the end I hated the whole stuff... Apprentices took photos of us in lame lighting, they had only white of black backgrounds and we had a little room to dress up... Maybe my expectations were too high... I think some of my photographer friends would have taken much better pictures for free (because the sessions cost a lot of money for the convention organisers...).
It would be wonderful to visit you at Magnificon! I checked out your link and those photos were amazing!
