Lol, believe it or not, the vivd colors remind me of my schooldays back in elementary class. We didn't have much to play with, because our school wasn't very rich, but we *did* at least have crayons, colored pencils, and stacks upon stacks of paper. It was wonderful - I've kept some of my drawings from that time, but most have been trashed or destroyed....
Overall, a very good picture, and very good balance throughout

I always found borders with the title written in them rather pretentious, but I'm not holding it against you.

following up on what you said about this pic originally, I'd like to ask you what your exact reasons are for liking this, and why you think I made it my featured work.
I always appreciate getting comments, but what I appreciate even more is clarity and people being specific about what they like.

not to be offensive, but your interpretation in the description of this piece is extremely superficial and boring.
I find this piece to be psychologically appealing, and could be used in an ad campaign of sorts, it would be stronger with a series in the same genre to accentuate the "point" so to speak, of life through colour.
it's attractive, and should be kept in that field.

The description is not my interpretation of the pic - It was my INTENTION for doing it. It may be superfical and boring to you, but I did this because I wanted this to have some element of fun. To be simple, colorful and just good to look at. Thats all.
Sometimes "art" works because it does, there doesnt have to be any justification or any reason behind it. Take a look at the category this photo is in. It's still life, not conceptual. I didnt want this to bear any heavy attachments for the reasons I stated above.
Everyone looks a picture and takes away their own meanings/interpretations - regardless of it being conceptual or otherwise, and thats what you've done. You have your OWN opinion of the pic, but thats not to say everyone else, especially myself, think the same as you.
If you call simple, bright photographs boring then thats you. Not every photograph needs to have a deeper meaning. Remember that when you critique someones work next time

Wonderful! This belongs in an art classroom or something. Very professional-looking, like all of your work. I do think that you need to look into becoming a commercial photographer. Your work is definitely that good.
