So I'm sure you've all seen the Pokemon Direct already so I'm sure you are familiar with Zacian and Zamazenta the two new wolf legendaries. I can't be the only one who thinks they look a little too similar to each other as if they were meant to compliment each other. So I thought what if they fused to form a new legendary? One that wields the sword AND the shield! this way, it'll be able to fight at full power against Eternatus. Also what does red and blue make when mixed together? Purple! Purple, as we all know is a color of royalty, which fits this 'mon's theme perfectly and will be its main color scheme. Its name comes from "Za-" plus "corcairghorm", the Gaelic word for "violet"Related content

Actually, if you think about it, this theory still holds up. In the games, in Budew Drop Inn, it DOES show a statue of the hero holding a sword AND a shield. Plus the lore behind the legendaries is mostly unknown to even the residents of Galar anyway (a fact that always made me suspicious if someone was trying to cover it up intentionally).
In regards to the art, I LOVE this design. It works really, really well!

Maybe the reason why there's a statue of one person wielding a sword and shield is because eternatus caused the legendary to seperate into two (maybe three)

That's actually a really interesting theory, too! I hope the expansion packs add more clarity to Galar's lore. It feels like there's so many holes in it

i really have to admit that this is a pretty creative idea, both in its concept and in its design. i'd personally love it something like this actually happened in the game, although i kinda doubt it's going to happen but only time's going to tell.
how long did it take you to fully draw this?

The concept was pretty easy to come up with actually. How would a wolf wield both a sword and a shield? Making it some sort of βwolf-taurβ is probably the most straightforward. This way, it also gives the silhouette of a Knight riding astride a horse which fits the theme. The drawing part took about 2 hours (with many prototype designs along the way), but it was overall just grind work if you already have the concept visualized.

Great lore on the name and explanation for the choice of purple indeed. You know what? I can see this becoming true...yeah, a bit strange, but quite viable. IMagine this powerful king knight against the evil giants and UBs

really awesome!, about this Eternatus legendary, which may be what Zacian and Zamazenta might be dealing with in it's trailer, the Cerne Abbas Giant-esque figure and the Dynamax thing with the dark clouds might foreshadow Eternatus, what would it look like?, it's name sounds like it must be some eldritch horror.
