↳ full backstory
↳ kithood, Born to a kittypet family, Monarchkit was given the name "Lassie". As she's one to be curious, Lassie quickly bribed her elder brothers with ways out of the house, and soon frequented the outside world. Eventually, however, she grew bored with the confines of the house and the backyard, and escaped. She wandered for ages until she was found by a warrior of RidgeClan who went by the name of Cranberryjaw. Smoothly, the kit commented on that being a mouthful, and Cranberryjaw just nodded in agreement, before scooping her up and taking her to camp. Once she got there, she was given the name Monarchkit for her face markings, despite her protests that her name was Lassie. Damn clan cats. During the early days of her time in RidgeClan, Monarchkit finds herself complaining to Nettlestar's face that she must return home. Seeing herself in Monarchkit, Nettlestar takes her out and tells her that she is needed with her clan, but Monarchkit is free to go; some cats simply have a rogue's spirit. Monarchkit recognizes she likely won't survive outside the clan, and reluctantly agrees to stop complaining, though Nettlestar does tell her that once she can take care of herself, she is free to leave. Until then, Monarchkit vowed to be loyal to the clan. Afterward, she has another run in with Fawnkit, where she pins the younger kit in a game of dragons versus princess and knights. Fawnkit is somewhat hurt afterward thanks to Monarchkit's actions, and Monarchkit steps in to reluctantly take responsibility for her actions.
