For cause she asked me if I could do a tutorial uvu;;so i don't really have much to say...
in case you can't read my sloppy-shitty-lazy-ass handwriting, here's a more decent explanation of what I usually do when drawing muzzles.
1.) Draw a circle. This circle does not have to be perfect. I usually draw about 5-10 circles to make sure it's not too much of an oval shape. Make sure it's not an oval cause we need a circlee~~
2.) If you're drawing in a program like Photoshop, GIMP or SAI, make a new layer and use a diffrent colour to draw the bottom of the muzzle. Remebmer! The muzzles are circular so make sure to draw it circularly(is that even a word?)!! ... I advise you not to make the muzzle too big so use like.. 1 third of the circle up on the bottom...
3.) Draw the top of the muzzle... which is pretty much the muzzle itself. When viewing from side-view, that part usually sticks out more. Now, that can be circular too but I like to make it a little pointy-er just to intensify the look. Also, if you're not drawing your character from the front like for example, drawing it from top-view, make sure to flatten the muzzle a bit to make it appear like you're actually standing above the character and you're looking down at it. Also, make sure the nose stands out more if you're doing top-view.
4.) Connect the bottom and the top part of the muzzle with the tube-like thing with a circular ending. I'm not exactly sure how to explain this part... I guess for starters you could just draw a line to connect it all and then make it a bit more curvy. I'm not sure if you can see it on the drawing or not, but the part right next to the top muzzle is bent downwards a bit and then it goes back up again and then makes a u turn and connects with the bottom. Remember that these turns/bends are very small so don't make them stand out too much!
And then just add a nose, mouth or whatever you want.
And now for the tips which is actually one tip.
I'm saying this because when I first started out in drawing sonic things, I drew the muzzle with a straight bottom and after a few months, I realized I was doing it all wrong because the muzzles are circular! Here's a perfect example of how not to draw the muzzle : [link]
You see how it's all flat? Just google a picture of Sonic and you'll notice the diffrence in no time. What I'm saying is that using the circle you draw at the beginning is a perfect way to help you draw a circular muzzle. And even when you think you don't need the help of the circle any more, do not stop using it! It helps you make your drawing more enjoyable to the viewers and you'll think it looks better as well. Plus when I draw, it makes me feel more confident since this way, if I make a mistake, it wont be that big of a deal because the circle is there to help me fix the mistake. Circles are your friends!!
I really hope that help because my mind hurts from explaining so much now //sighs
so um... I know the drawing is very lazy and I've realized I should re-do it with more of an effort to make it more understandable but I'm very tired now so I'll just leave it like this forever and ever. uvu;;;
