3 years,7 months and 6 days...that's how long it's been,1314 days since she lost a piece of her soul,a piece of her life,a piece of herself and a piece of their dream...

Jill Valentine woke up numb,paralyzed and damp,in sweat and tears she realized as she wiped her face.
She sat up and examined her surroundings,she smiled briefly when her eyes laid on her sleeping partner,his nightmares are becoming less frequent since he came back from China,unlike hers.
She carefully peeled the blanket off her wet body and sat at the edge of the bed,Jill reached to the top drawer in her nightstand and took out a worn out picture,printed on cheap paper,she looked at the black and white blobs and traced them with her fingers lightly...

"I was thinking green would work for both,y'know?" Chris simply stated while carrying groceries in one hand,and turning the key with the other,the door swung open and the grocery bags were laid on the floor.
"I get it,but green? really?! it's such a depressing color if you ask me..." Jill replied while getting the last bag of groceries out of the trunk.
"Hey! I wear green when I'm on the field! and what did the doctor say?" he asked while jogging her way,and gave her the scowl he used to give Claire when she broke the rules,Jill let out grunt as she replied."I know,I know,no lifting heavy crap,and no straining my body,I get it"
"Good.Now give me the bags and you can lock the car."
"Aye Aye Captain!" she replied giving him a wink.
"Oh for the love of- I haven't been promoted yet!" he replied with a sigh and a alight grin.
"Oh you know I'm gonna be calling you that tonight!" she called out and gave him a little spank.
Chris turned a new shade of red as he closed the door and looked to his wife saying:"Jesus! you could've at least done that a little more quietly! Besides,no intercourse remember?" Chris finished that last sentence while putting his hands on her shoulders and giving her a warm hug.
Jill pulled out a picture from her pocket and looked at it and back at him,the both held the picture smiling so brightly.

"We were so damn happy!" she whispered glancing at the picture and towards a sleeping Chris,"All three of us..."

Jill said those last words with a cracked voice and long,watery clips running down her face,a familiar,warm hand was around her shoulders,giving her the same warm hug she had all those years ago.
