Description
Basically I'm done with this. The original source file is located on a harddrive that will take me ages to go through, so I'm not making any fan's OCD preference edits. Most has been redrawn from original maps from The Guide www.amazon.com/World-Robert-Jo… and locations added from there. It's not 100% to scale (Seanchan is way too small) but I like the placement of things, for the most part. The WoT compass rose (bottom right corner) was redrawn by me. I might put it out there as a separate DA submission at some point, since it took me so long to do.
The text in the background behind the water is the entire prologue from The Eye of the World. That is copyright Robert Jordan, Tor, etc. etc.
Only three brush sets were used:
Catheychild's fantasy map resources calthyechild.deviantart.com/ar…
StarRaven's sketchy cartography brushes browse.deviantart.com/art/Sket…
PhysicalMagic's Abstract Lines browse.deviantart.com/art/Abst…
Real world references to WoT culture from here: www.darkfriends.net/wheel/node…
Along with information from The Guide www.amazon.com/World-Robert-Jo…

It's too bad Seanchan is so small, but this is very pretty and well done, and I think the pictures at the bottom are an nice and cute addition.
Though, minor fix... Saldaea is spelled wrong on your map and on the bottom.

Wait: This looks the exact same shape as song of ice and fire. Obviously this a lot better, though.

This is amazing! The detail is great and the culture descriptions and images are really thorough and detailed. The only thing I can criticize is that I thought Cairhienen wore lots of dark, somber looking clothes, however the portrayal shown here fits very with their personality!

This is my comp background now, the top part. Excellent job, best map I've found, despite some spelling errors.

Awesome map! Thank you!
Idea: Shouldn't the city be spelled Tanchico?

It's a beautiful piece and you should definitely submit the compass rose so people can see it in greater detail. I like the pictures of national dress, I kept forgetting what style went to which country when I was reading the books. Great job!

This is the best map I've found...after days of looking! Is there anyway to release this as an interactive map? For example, the ability to toggle political lines...
As for feedback, I like the pics, but if you omit them, you could add more of the cultures (Malkier, Murandy, Atha'an Miere, etc)...
Some spelling corrections...
Edmond's Field = Emond's Field
Ghengei Tower = Ghenjei
Camelyn = Caemlyn

Hi, I have one more question. When looking at the print option, one size option is 20 x 20 in., however looking at the dimensions here, 20 x 20 in. would be the wrong shape. Is there a way to see what the poster would actually look like, or is it up to me to choose the appropriate dimensions? Thanks for your time

This is really awesome. Really puts into perspective how small their world really is. I love your legend. I thought there were more Steddings around Andor, the one the visit outside Camylin and the abandoned one that Perrin and Egwene get stuck in. LOVE the culture representations at the bottom (part of the legend I assume) Really cool
