Other anime's? or other animes like FLCL? hmmm... Try Lucky Star, I expecially love the Lucky Channel part of the anime which appears at the end of the episodes... Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemy, Azumanga Daioh, and Umisho. This anime is a different but I think you may get a kick out of a romantic comedy, look into Kamisama Kazoku.
Then there's Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan, serious at times, but pretty funny in the first part. Very strange show.
Serious animes, I recemend Ergo Proxy, Code Geass, Toward the Terra, Last Exile, RahXephon, Eureka Seven, Full Metal Alchemist, and Utawarerumono.
NOW! If that's not enough I have more I can through at you! I get a kick out of Japanese animation more then Hollywood so I kinda have one number on my six sided die. All saying anime is #one.
