This picture is very, very well done. I very much like the shading so the grass closest to Link is very noticable and sticks out, and I like the gleaming sun on his boots and tunic. It is indeed a very pure speck of talent. However, there are a few things I do notice-if you made the following changes it would highly improve this picture (note that these are only mere suggestions, you can leave it as is if you choose to do so)
-Navi doesn't look quite like a fairy. The round ball needs a more smudgy, fuzzy effect to it, because to me right now it looks more like micky mouse's head has turned blue and his ears turned into the bigger wings. The colors and shading on the fairy are spetacular, but I think if you made navi's glow look more like a glow and her wings transparent (you can do that by changing the opacity) then Navi will seem more like a fairy
-Link's face seems to lack most emotion. I do see a little irritation, but I think if you narrowed his eye and did more with his mouth; like what was done in this base: [link] - it'll show more of how he's feeling and/or how you intended him to feel in this piece.

-I believe the trees in the far end of the background need to be taller-I do see you were using perspective but in reality trees can grow to be up to 30 feet long. I think if you made the trees higher by several inches it would make the whole picture itself more realistic.
