Melon and Aegislash first met in a field of pink flowers, back before The Event happened that caused pokemon to lose their abilities (read about The Event here: The Event )
back then they were both at their first stage of evolution ( ralts and honedge ), and Melon still had her ability to see the future. Melon was also with her first trainer, Ilaron at that time.
They met here a few more times before melon was traded to her second trainer.
