Absolutely love this! Great work! Kudos for making him naked as a proper werewolf should be!

Yeeeeesssssss, werewolves. >:3 One of my favourite monsters ever.
I'm loving the anatomy here. I imagine that would be pretty difficult to pull that off when it's part human and wolf anatomy. xD The moonlight lighting up the hair on top of and behind him is a very nice, too. Gives it an eerie sort of glow.
It also has a very nice nose~

Werewolves win. 'Nuff said.
Fun fact of the day!
DID YOU KNOW that Kage was originally designed to be a werewolf? XD He and Torin had totally separate stories. I miss his beastly side, though. >:3
I actually didn't use any wolf references (and I suck at drawing wolves without), so I'd be amazed if any of it looks remotely wolf-like... I have a hard time with these buggers. D: I think I've got a decent start, though... I was going for the Underworld-esque-looking lycan thing... kinda almost, 'cept not.
I dunno what the hell I'm doing, in other words...
...I really shouldn't be laughing at the fact that the nose received a compliment specially... (I know I've done it to others... why are noses so damn funny? XD; )
AHA! By the by, I finished Andromeda Stories. One of these nights I'll have to hop on IM so we can discusssss.~ :3

Werewolves~
WHAT, REALLY? That makes me fan-squee~ You should totally do a parody-ish crossover someday, because I said so and you totally know you want to.
It does to me. I'm not super-analyzing it and comparing it to every version of werewolf anatomy that has ever existed, but from a 5 minute stare of it, it looked pretty accurate to me. Seeing as it's a fictional monster, it's not like you can really be 100% wrong, anyway.
Noses are the best thing ever. They're also the funniest thing to draw ever. And one of the easiest things to mess up. OTL N-Not that'd I'd know... /hides doodles
*^*
Yes! Do it! We must geek out intelligently discuss the story, particularly the ending. Please tell me I wasn't the only one that started freaking out over its implications...

Actually, I've had this idea for an alternate universe short story/manga with werewolf!Kage and Torin for a while... I just gotta get it done... Story of my life... OTL It's fuuuull of angst, though. XD;; Kage's always been such an angst-bunny....
Eh, well, that's all that counts, eh? (Fictional creatures are the best, oh yes...)
SO TRUE. Incidentally, =AudreyDutroux draws some very nice noses... Dooooodles? >:3 [snatches and runs away] Muahahahahaa!!!
Yesyesyes... And we shall. Actually, I didn't find the ending very confusing or unexpected... But we shall discuss this! In depth! And fangirlishness!

Do it do it do it do it. ~
Kage's not really Kage unless he's an angst-bunny. It's like Torin without awesomely messy hair. It just can't be allowed to exist! The world would implode!
Ooooh. *-*
H-HEY, THOSE'RE MINE. GIVE THEM BACK, THIEF.
Aw, I was totally the only one who got a little confused. xD That's probably because I read all 3 volumes in about a day or two (I almost couldn't put them down, try as I did) and then ended up over-analyzing the ending and, well, completing forgetting what the whole reason why the Andromeda galaxy was attacked in the first place. I really have to reread it over Christmas break. Right after I finish my analytical paper on To Terra... for my manga and comic class. >:3 You're so jealous, admit iiit.
IN DEPTH. FOR HOURS. I'LL BRING POPCORN.

At least I wasn't mid-sentence... Fail. -_-
Hmmm... Eeenteresting...
Analytical paper? On To Terra? D: I am jealous. Where the F*CK did you manage to find a manga and comic class?! Can I stow away in your backpack sometime? ._.
Moo ha ha. And I shall bring the cookies. >:3 (Speaking of implosions, my life seems to be doing that lately, which is why I haven't been online. BUT SOON. Oh yes. XD )

OH, OH, OH. I KNOW THE ANSWER. IT WAS YOUR FINGER?
You'd like writing a film interpretive essay on Let The Right One In, and analytical papers on To Terra... and The Walking Dead would be super awesome and stuff, and it was, but holy crap was it tiring. ._. Never again. For a year, at least. Oh wait, finals this weekend. Those have essays. FFFFFFFFFFFFFF--
Where? My University. You should have seen my reaction when I found out such a course existed. xD It was a media course on understanding comics and manga from a cultural and historical view point. We got to talk about western and eastern fans, doujinshi/fan comics, conventions, cosplay, and a whole bunch of comic tropes and history. One of the best classes I've ever taken.
Although we had the two papers, had to draw our own comic, and do a presentation on anything comic/manga related. I did a presentation on the Magnificent/Fabulous 49ers, aka Year 24 group.
So I got tot geek out about Keiko Takemiya and all the other fabulous ladies I idolize in front of a small class. I generally hate public speaking, but damn was that ever worth it. /Starry-eyed
If you can fit in my backpack, go right ahead. xD Carrying around an adult will build character! Or break my back. Practically the same thing, right?
COOKIES. o_o I mean, ahem. Yes.
Aww, your life imploded? D: Sorry to hear that. I hope things calm down for you and get better. I will distract you with incomprehensible and quite possibly very annoying fan-ramblings when we get the chance!
Also, before I forget, Let Me In was actually a pretty good movie. ._. I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised.

Augh... That sounds like the best course ever... Dammit... I miss college! I did a presentation on Yuri Manga in High school...
Still not as cool, though.
AND BROWNIES.
Mrhhh... Yeah. It shall be good. Yesh, yesh. >:3
Really? I will trust your judgement on that, then. Others have said that, but I didn't believe them. ._. Is it out on video yet?

The-Wall-flower In reply to XyzaDT [2010-12-22 17:00:24 +0000 UTC]
You did a presentation on Yuri? *3* How'd that go~?
Wait, was it the graphic kind, or the tamer stuff?
...
Oh God. I could totally go for a brownie right now. ;A;
To sort of explain a bit, the reason why the remake is just as good is because it's pretty much the original movie, just in english and with a higher budget.
I'm not sure if it's out on video yet. If it's not, it probably will be soon.

It was the very tame stuff. Semi-conservative small-town public school wasn't really a place to be too open about stuff like that. :I *coughredneckscough* >_> Ahem...
Ahhh, I see. I was worrying that they'd cannibalize it and spit out a bastardAmericanized version...
Like all those Japanese horror films... >_>

Aww. I know what that's like, unfortunately.
I don't think I've ever met a redneck. Like, a real American redneck from the actual American Bible Belt. I'm missing out on some fantastic experiences here, aren't I?
Surprisingly, they didn't. There was some extra imagery of religion and the American flag, but they're for only about a couple of seconds, and they're mostly in the background. Everything else was pretty much exactly like the original Swedish movie. The only complaint I ever had was how they handled/changed Virginia's character, but even then it doesn't really detract from anything, so it's something even I can sort of ignore.
What, like ~*~THE GRUDGE~*~? Or ~*~THE RING~*~? OR THEIR SEQUELS? Wait did those have sequels? I seem to think they did. Hmm. :/

Ehhh. 'S fun. Sorta? :/ I thank the Goddess every day that I didn't actually grow up in what would be considered a Bible belt area. My home-area was simply annoying, not dangerous... Oh, did I just say Goddess? I meant God. Of course. >_> .....
Hmm, that's a bit of a relief. Although, I just have to say... I don't quite understand the point of remaking a movie that much to-the-letter. Was it just so non-subtitle-reading people didn't have to read subtitles? o_O
Yes. Yes they did. If I'm not mistaken, they were all quite terrible. Both the Japanese and American versions. They each had ENTIRELY different continuations, incidentally...

The-Wall-flower In reply to XyzaDT [2010-12-30 08:30:26 +0000 UTC]
That's the main flaw of the remake, summed up in a single word/sentence: Why? Apparently it was just to make it more accessible to the American audience (culture and language-wise, I'm assuming), which is still pretty offensive, because damn, if the audience wants to see it they can read the subtitles or listen to a dub. But the movie is good enough (in some ways even surpassing the original) that I almost don't mind. Hell, there are way worse answers to even more ridiculous questions regarding other movies, so it's almost easy to just let this one go.
Figures. :/
Alternate continuities actually don't bother me at all, because I'm weird like that. xD Hell, half of my favourite stuff ever play around with alternate canons all the time.

And for some unknown reason, that makes me think of Kage and Torin doing a parody of West Side Story, with the finger-snapping and singing and dancing...
o_o
Uh. Do... want?
