Description Hi everyone. Before reading on please look at the image. What do you think? Now read on let me know what your thoughts are before and after reading.

This is not a drawing. It is a 3D figure (I used DAZ studio) that I drew over and applied some filters to. When I say drew over I do not mean trace. I just added the ribbons, boots, bra. The body I just touched up a little. Overall it is mainly a 3D rendering. Does it look nice? Do you like it? I will definitely do a few more of these in some action poses. Overall to pose this figure literally took about a minute. I just used a preset pose. Posing doesn't take too long anyway. My PC is not great for rendering so that took a while. I just left it on, had like dinner and came back. Drawing over the figure took me maybe 15 minutes. I used very broad strokes and a simplistic approach.

I'm going to try to perfect this more and hopefully it will be very useful in creating long sequences that would be too time consuming to draw.

RIGHT! But I feel like that crosses into a thing were it's more just drawing on top of 3D, "rotoscoping" or tracing. I tried that and it was about as much work as a regular drawing. That kind of defeats the purpose. I want to get it so that it's more on par with 3D rendering and just a little drawing. That's why I have that simple painterly dabs look. Will work on it. Looks good though.

Interesting experiment and an interesting look. I take it you added the filters after you drew over the 3d render. If so it makes the two mediums tie in well. It would be interesting to see this with some of the backgrounds you usually do too.

Exactly! You read my mind. My focus is to make the two mediums seamless. Also the same goes for backgrounds.
