June is so achingly beautiful, subhanallah. I just bought a heat gun to dry the paper between layers… I wish I’d bought it a long time ago! My process is so much faster now, and I can just slap on layer after layer of paint without having to wait at all! I’m excited about how this landscape turned out. I didn’t use a reference, but I did use all of the watercolor skills I’m slowly learning (such as wetting the paper before applying the colors to produce a smooth wash, and working from light to dark, and of course placing wet on dry).
