Good for you! My big brother has been doing the same because his wife is Chinese. It seems like such a beautiful language, yet so difficult if it isn't your native tongue. Yes, it's really hard to keep up hobby studies when life gets too busy. But even if you have to drop it for some time, I'm sure you'll pick it back up easier the next time around! Do you enjoy your work?
I'm getting my MFA in creative writing. My thesis is about war, terrorism, Islamophobia, Islam in general, and the Muslim experience in the West. I'm taking a break from teaching this year while I get my thesis, but after I get my degree, I'll teach again, God willing, though at a different school--one that is much closer, so I'll have less of a commute!

Writing is definitely my passion, as is art, but I knew I wanted to make a career out of writing. I have another teaching job lined up for me at a college in my state for after I get my MFA. I'm very blessed and thankful!

Wow, seriously!? That's so awesome, I don't think I've ever talked to an actual game designer before! I love video games too, and even like to make (very amateur/unprofessional) games on RPG Maker XP, lol. Starbound is my all-time absolute favorite game. I'm a huge fan of pixel graphics. I think I grew to love them so much partially because I have this vaguely annoying issue where many FPS games and 3D games make me very nauseous. How about you, what are your favorite (kinds of) games, and what kind(s) do you work on?
