Description
This painting was created in honor of a dear person, Bob, who passed away by an aggressive form of brain cancer. It was an honor to paint him and my prayers go out to the ones that he has left behind. The original watercolor measured 12x18.Related content

It was an end to a hard life and a lot of pain and suffering for him. In the end he found peace and grace, and that was what mattered...that and that we both got to say goodbye to one another and to say that we loved each other. He didn't die alone and with things unsaid. Thanks James...

Gorgeous. (It's actually kinda funny, 'cause there's a story Max Lucado wrote years ago about two boys who were left on an island with instructions to wait for their father to come back. This really makes me think of one of the last scenes in the book, where the father's coming back on his ship and one of his sons is standing on the beach watching him come in - which kinda fits for Bob, too, 'cause the boat would take him home (though, granted, the boat here is sailing away).
