i love it how people just make epic peices of art in 5 minutes and it takes me a whole week to produce a scribble that doesnt look like anything...

on a lighter note, YOUR EPIC!!!

Just a few remarks to your tutorial.
As I also started with cheap stuff and the results did not satisfy me, try to buy better paper, definitelly 300g. Less would spoil your work. If you donΒ΄t like to be bothered with streching paper, buy blocks which are glued on all four sides. It helps a lot
And last tip.. If I work with too watery paint, after I clean my brush in water, I get out the water from it with a clean cloth and after that I put the brush to the paint. You can that better control the colour flow from your brush.
My last tip for you, if I want colours to dry faster, I carefully use hairdryer.

wtf why don't you make a tutorial then? If you can afford to walk around and call people retarded, it must meant that you have a pretty damn good understanding of watercolors. So by all means, show us your way, non-retarded one.

u misunderstood smthing
there is no rule "if u havent done something better u cant criticise it"
lol
then, dont try to command me!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lumysaara In reply to sylciaa [2010-03-11 19:23:43 +0000 UTC]

I am not commanding you, all I'm saying that if you do not know how to do something better, you have no right to tell people how you think they should do it better.
That and the fact that calling someone "retarded" is not a very polite thing to do.

u know where u can put ur words? lol
and u still to command me , but 'u are just saying' lol
and and im not gonna stay silent and saying that retarded shit is awesome -.-

I completely support the wet-in-wet technique! I use it all the time!

But I think that you really need to get some thicker paper for your painting since you use lots of water... and it doesn't look good at all when the paper is getting so bubbly in the middle of your brush strokes.
I would suggest a paper that's at least 180g/m2 (But I use 200g/m2, and I love them!) they usually have some great texture on them the heavier they are, so you could just try buying a few not-expensive pads of it and try it out (:
