first up, this is good. like i mean from the basics up good.
you have a solid foundation and a good grasp of proportions and anatomy - the head is the right size, the arms aren't too short and the boobs actually sit in the right spot and aren't 'balloons stuck on a board' (believe me, a LOT of people have trouble with that).
however, you do need to fine tune some small details.
- the shoulders. remember, there is a lot of bone and muscle concentrated around the shoulder area, you need to show that more in the concave and convex curves.
- the boobs are slightly wonky at the bottom - remember that even though gravity applies, you have material holding them up; they'll curve with the material, and won't sit flat at the bottom.
- the top itself - you need to show it curving about the curves. and also, you need to show the fabrics connecting more with folds and wrinkles.
all in all a damn fine effort e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

First off... stupid DA maintenance. I hate it with a passion.
Thank you for the critique on Kirshi here. I thought I did decent on the shoulders, but a critique is meant to help ^^ But I don't exactly know what you mean by shoulder area. Like how you say I need to show more in the concave and convex curves. Its sorta like huh to me. I am sorry, I am still learning the grasp of a pose. I use poses from books to help me since I suck doing them without a reference.
I always mess the boobs up, but I know I will get there eventually, and they'll be better. ^__^ I just don't know how to fix them so there not weird and stuff.
All in all, I appreciate your critique. Thank you so much

humm how should i say - the shoulder area is good, it's acceptable as is. but i'd like to see the convex ("outward") curve of the shoulder bone and the concave ("inward") curve of the hollow under the arms more pronounced - the bone shifts entirely in that pose creating quite dramatic curves in the arm/shoulder region it's a small detail, but you'd be amazed how much of a difference it makes to the overall impact of the pose - it adds so much more energy and vivacity! and i use references all the time
i collect images in a "reference library" so if i want to do a pose, i can study it from many different angles to understand it more ^_^
imagine that larger boobs are like balloons filled with water - they move similarly and react the same way to pressures and directions; then imagine how a piece of material will sit over that and move with it. it's a small trick, but it helps you imagine how things work
glad to help ^_^

Thank you
As I said, in future works, which will be soon after I am done with Secret Santa, I will have new works out. Hopefully they should be better based on what you told me :3
I use "How To Draw Manga" books for poses. There is nothing wrong with using them. That is what there intended for, to be used.

which one do you have? i have the guys one, but i also have the yaoi one. despite the name, it primarily focuses on male anatomy and poses (one section on kissing, but that can be applied to either sex) and i've found it to be better than the other male drawing book they released.

Thanks for telling me about those. I might consider those then a commission. Would be the smarter thing to do.

Pretty! I like the background as well as her hair. ^_^ The sheer stuff coming over her stomach looks sorta stiff, though.... try making it a little bit more flowy.

Its an old drawing. At that time, that was the best I could do. Clothing are not easy for me.

Ah, ah. I see. Well, check out a few different manga for help. Anything by CLAMP would be excellent, they love clothes....

Thanks a bunch ^^ I thought it came out nice too. I appearently am getting better with each drawing I do :3 All I needed help on this time was the stomach, and hips from my friend. I made her too thin at first, but she says I am starting to understand the female body more ^__^ So yay :3
