You drew me in with the softness of the leaves, but it was the tethescope (I'm not a great speller) that really touched me. It's as if the young boy has experienced a medical loss beyond his control. Might be my perspective as a cancer survivor, but it just tugged on my heart strings as a familiar sight to see.
