One more of Mikasa this time

Augh, how I wish I had pictures like this with the gear...! They would look awesome~ I swear I'll have them one day...I think posing would be more natural then too. I need to learn look more aggressive.

This is not a particularly good angle, but I liked it enough since it focuses on the harness quite nicely One may think it's not all that hard to make, but infact it was the single most thing I used the most time on out of all parts of the costume, and I'm quite proud of it.

PS: Here's a little trivia of the costume;

The scarf was made from a skirt of my very first cosplay, which I wore to my very first con in 2006. I feel strangely attached to it.

See that band-aid on my finger? Remember me mentioning in a journal post before that I feel I'm gonna stitch into my fingers at work some day?

Well...I did.

And I blame the jacket here for that. I was sewing it very late in to the night on the week before the con, ended up sleeping only about 2 hours before going to work, aaaaand stitched my finger =_= The needle went straight through and shattered when I pulled my hand away. A piece of it stuck to my finger, and I had someone to take me to a first aid center to have them get it out. I got sick leave for the day, and guess what? I used that day to finish the damn jacket! :'D I was almost laughing at the irony and the fact that without that day-off I would not have finished the jacket in time, all the while while waiting for the sense of touch to return to the finger ...Sometimes I wonder why I'm doing this...>_>
