Yamigirl21 — Chrono and Rosette sketch

Description My latest piece was, or rather will be when finished, inspired by the anime and manga Chorno Crusade (aka Chrno Crusade) which I just recently watched and am now reading in its manga format. Since I watched that series, I was intriqued by the intimiate relationship between Rosette and Chrono/Chrno the main characters; a demon and a human bound together by magic as well as their deep feelings for each other..... Immediately after seeing its rather.....emotional ending (the anime ending as I have yet to finish reading the manga) I wanted to draw/paint a picture of Rosette and Chrono which would be challenging being that I have never drawn these characters before. But this is my attempt which I hope to eventually paint when I tweak it just a bit more..... I thought that I'd post the sketch here for now. ^_^ Thanks for looking everyone!

Though I liked the manga MUCH better than the anime. Did you read it? The ending is completely different than the anime version! But anyways, thanks again and take care!

Heh, thanks! ^_^ I remember working on that piece a while ago and having a lot of difficulty drawing Chrono because of all the details of his outfit and what not. I guess it wasn't too bad though since I really did want to depict him accurately. The final painting took a bit longer though. I'm not sure if you've seen that in my deviation gallery but given the landscape background I added, I think that's what took the most time! Thanks again!

Well i haven't tried drawing chrono yet, but i've got this desirer to draw that final episode with chrono and Rosette. This show was quite depressing nearly all the mean chars died. But no i haven't looked in to your gallery, i don't have time to do, Sis calls, i'll take a look tomorrow

It started off similarly enough to the anime but by the middle of the story, the direction it went was ****COMPLETELY**** different than the direction the anime went! The end of the manga was MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better! I'm not even kidding about that! I still find it pretty appalling how the anime took such liberties with this amazing story but again, perhaps you can see for yourself! Enjoy!

hi ya, I will try and check it out later, me and my sister were a little busy what can i say? she gets bored, i worry that she's getting a little to like me she always wants to watch anime or read some of my manga.
But thankx for the link, am not sure to look at or not.

Most anime's are different to the manga's but i think thats the point , sometimes i think that it makes it more exciting when there different, but where i live it's hard to find anime and manga, so when there different i miss out:/

Thank you for the compliment! Chrono Crusade is good....but the manga is MUCH better. They changed WAY WAY too much of the story in the anime. Though I will say the ending of the anime made me cry.... I'd recommend trying both and comparing, but I still say that the manga is better than the anime in the long run. That's just my opinion though.

thanx soo much for da info ^^ and yes i am gonna try both because i already have seen two episodes and are actually really good. is horror with a mix of comedy and love^^ and i have heard some people tell me that da ending is pretty sad...i love chrono's personality

YES! If you like Chorno Crusade even a little bit you'll GREATLY prefer the manga which has a COMPLETELY and ENTIRELY different ending! It's MUCH better! I'm telling you!!!!

It's cool. There's some things that can only be done with pencil rather than paint and vice versa. Sometimes I find myself liking teh sketches a bit better too. Ah well. Anyways, thanks for commenting!
