Description Full view for details, otherwise you probably won't see any difference!

I go on a lot about line art and it's one of the most important aspects of my art. If you take a look at the before and afters above, you might not see a huge difference at first. If that's the case, take a good look at her hair, especially the hair that is surrounding her fins. In the after picture they are more defined and it is clearer what is in front and what is behind. Her hair is neater and cleaner. Her fin looks less boring before there is some line depth; it isn't all the same thickness all the way around. There are also some scattered white dots to give an appearance of light.

This step in my artwork is very time-consuming and, depending on my mood, can be tedious or relaxing. I have to make sure I'm ready, with some good music playing, zoomed really close into the line art and then I get in a really zen mode. It is totally worth it and completely lifts the line art to a level where it can stand on its own and not need color.

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend this tutorial: [link]
by Tentopet which was my first introduction to the idea of line weight and its purpose. I remember thinking it was a silly tutorial when I first read it, but after actually trying it out it truly improved my artwork.

Please note that there will be no lineart available for color!

I liked seeing this! As a colorist, I never realized what work went into creating the lineart.

Will this particular piece be available for coloring?

I thought it would be nice to let people know what keeps me up until late at night obsessing over. My mom thinks I'm nuts. XD

This is a lineart of someone else's OC so I've asked them for permission and we'll see what they say!
