I thought Ghirahim underneath all the silliness was an interesting character. I mean, it's the typical underling reviving their master, but that does require a fair amount of loyalty. He's powerful and clever and full of himself. Makes you a little annoyed when you realize you were stuck with boring personality-less Fi all along. When it turned out Ghirahim was a sword after all I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Link should've had a sword like him. However inappropriate that would have been.

I can imagine Link getting to see both choices and going "'Why yes, I'd prefer the emotionless, obvious-fact-stating robot over the super useful, entertaining, clever (and hot) fabulous guy' SAID ABSOLUTELY NO ONE EVER ESPECIALLY ME. Now give me the cool sword."
