Description
A simple and effective way to create a lightbox for animation. The peg bar can be placed at the top or bottom or both. Much more affordable than purchasing one.Related content

Hello, may I ask? since it's slanted, how do you keep the paper from sliding?
and what does those red strips in the first picture mean?

You can make your own depending on what you need for sizes. Obviously, some sides need to be the same length as others, so just go from there.

Thank you so much!
I was going to buy one but they just seem to expensive for a box and a light

do you happen to have recommended measurements for these pieces?
just trying to figure out the measurements on the pieces so I can figure out the cost to build one.. because for me it's either build this or just do a cheap thing and get a clear plastic box and then put a touch light underneath it..

Why is opaque/semi reccomended?
(as in, if you get a clear one, is it too bright? and is that why semi/opaque is better?)

sorry to take so long in reply. Yeah, a normal bulb will work fine, but if you use that you either want to coat the bulb with white paint or make sure you have opaque-ish plexiglas (or a bit thicker). The reason for this is so that the bulb's brightness doesn't hurt your eyes after drawing for a good while. Also, Florescent just burn with less heat, so I think they're safer. But normal bulbs definately do work.

I love you for this! I needed it a bunch! (Now I can go back to working on animation without overstraining my eyes again...and without using a Wacom tablet!)

Hey, I think I can make one of these!
I've got a similar home-made one with clear glass, but without actually doing any research and chancing upon this... well, thanks!
