They used to race these motorcycles in the USSR back in the day. The Kovrovets 175 engine is based on a German DKW two stroke engine which is almost identical to the Villiers engine which was built in the UK and used in the BSA Bantam motorcycle. DKW's advanced two stroke engine was one of the spoils of war which was given to the BSA, Harley Davidson and Kovrovets motorcycle factories.
