Love the differences in weight in your lines.
I'm curious if you could tell us where you use the brush, and where you use a pen. I'm a noobie, so it's hard for me to tell.

I use brush on the mor fluid and curved line (like her hair and majority of her body). I used pens on straight lines, as well ultra fine lines like those in her eyes and the blood. As much as try to use the brush for everything, once I pick up a micron to do touch up work, I'll find myself inking with it out of habit. Pens are best way to start. I didn't start using brush till half a year ago.
Let me know if ever need any help. I'm no Tim Townsend, but I can offer some pointers along the way

thank you, I really appreciate the knowledge. One more question I have is whether you are using pens like Microns, or if you actually use a dip ink pen with nibs. i've been reading up on them and they seem very standard in manga. what's your opinion on using nib pens? Thanks.

I tried using crow quill pens and they've never seemed to work for me. Guess I don't have the touch. Of course many pro's use nib pens and are amazing with them. I use Copic Multiliners and Microns when needed and they served me well when first starting to ink before I segued into brush. I would recommend trying out nib pens though. You never know, it may work wonders for you. Hope this helps!
