Well it's not that they don't know how to make posters, it's just that it was designed to be on a T-shirt, so the image is meant to be against a background. But I guess you could cut it yourself with an utility knife.

Well, I like it against the black, but in poster size, it appears to shove the image into the upper left hand corner, and leave a black border along the right side and bottom. It looks wonky.Β
