Hello everyone. It's been a while since I last drew. This time is another couple in Chinese costumes.canson 200gsm with Leningrad 12-color set watercolor and some white touch with Acrylic

Love the hair ornaments and you coloured the hair very well too.

I really like to draw Chinese costumes. Maybe because when I was a kid, a lot of Chinese, Taiwan, Hongkong movies was shown on TV. I love the outfits and the fighting poses in those movie. Another reason must be I've been into danmei (耽美) for the pass few years. lol

Haha, I am from Taiwan, I know what you mean. I grew up with that too.
Just for your reference, there's a series quite famous throughout Taiwan and China for the last few years (Maybe you've seen it...). It's called 武媚娘:

I don't like it as a series, but the costumes and make ups are stunning. Maybe you will like it

yeah, I heard about the series but I don't watch it. The woman is a historical legend and in the film she was just like innocently crying others to death. I don't like the way they picture the very first and only offical female king of China so I didn't watch the movie in spite of the costume and the boobs.
Lateky I'm not really interested in Chinese series anymore because 1. I want to watch boys love (haha) and 2 they are really trendy now. The actors just look good for themselve but not the characters they play, and the plot just like they want to get it deep with emotional stuff but it end up with some illogical and cheesy scenes. I think that is called some thing like "dog's blood" in Chinese.
I just stick to the old and legend ones like Journey to the West 西遊·降魔篇, my fair princess 還珠格格 and 宰相劉羅鍋 and all those 金庸fighting series pulished around the 1900s and before 2005
