-Many years ago, when pokemon breeding centers first appeared, the people working there were not experienced so they made many mistakes in taking care of pokemon eggs. Many eggs got spoiled and rotted inside. Pokemon breeders were surprised to find out that the eggs cracked open and formed a new pokemon species; Rotteng. -Due to the unexplainable birth of Rotteng as a new pokemon species, people believe that they come from outer space. There is no scientific proof of that though.
