In case you're wondering, they're reading "Flowers in the Attic". I assume this book would appeal to Ryuu as its primary protagonists are two siblings in love.

Maybe he's trying to give Yoko a hint?

The story also contains a neglecting mother and lots of abuse. All right up Ryuu's alley.

I guess in a way, this is a rework of this previous sketch:

Almost the same pose, but a different situation and angle.

I am quite fond of focusing on the humanity of characters rather than action scenes. Yoko, after all, isn't inherently evil. If she wasn't taken away when she was a baby she would have been fighting against the Foot, and consequently, Ryuu, after all.

Ryuu, on the other hand, is inherently a homicidal megalomaniac whose insanity is only being suppressed by Yoko's presence.

That said, I really should practice more action scenes. Haha!
