Description
I've been rereading some TMNT comics and this is my favorite panel from the "Tales of Leonardo: Blind Sight" mini-series (found in issue #3). Since the whole comic was done in silhouette I thought I'd re-draw the sceneIn case you've never read the comic and can't read my sloppy handwriting:
Splinter: This is a special brew of mine. I call it "Infini-tea."
Leonardo: Master -- Are you offering me drugs?
Too bad we'll never ever hear that line said in the cartoons, hehe.

"Blind Sight" is one of my favorite storys ever to be told from the guys at Mirage. Great job!

Ah that's awesome. That panel in Blindsight cracked me up so hard. That's like the only time we ever see Leo question Splinter.
I still can't find Blindsight #4 if anyone would like to fill me in on what happens. I'm dying to know!

Well, he defeats the bad guy, of course, and comes out of his hallucinatory state with his sight restored, and the ending implies that it wasn't entirely hallucinatory because Splinter also had a connection to it

strange thing is that in the online RPG my sister and I are working on building, Mikey's the addict and connisuer of brews, substances and food. on a lighter note though, I'm pleased to see that splinter did the right thing when he gave Leo his "medication." better to oversee them useing and make sure they are ok when they test that shit out then to let them jump feet first into it.

Haha Mikey does seem to have stoner tendencies, doesn't he?
Well, Splinter had to somehow get Leonardo out of his funk. I don't think he'd give them drugs just so they could party

eh, the way I look at it, Splinter was just being a responsible father. Sure he slipped his son a micky, but in the end it helped ease Leo's physical and spiritual pain- as most medicines of that kind tend to do.
Leo on the other hand is probably wondering how his little brother can take this shit and handle the psychological ramifications... then again, it probably shouldn't surprise him if Mikey turns out to be the poison master of the family that gets addicted to various substances...

I have a feeling once Splinter's long gone (since he can't live forever), the Turtles easily will drink, smoke, and so whatever they want (being turtles, they seem to do whatever they please, a very strong animal trait that has powerful attitude)- though I never knew in the comics Splinter was open to giving his kids drugs, LOL! Funny, great pic, thanks for sharing

Hahaha well he wasn't doing it for the lulz or anything. Leonardo was in a personal struggle regarding his blindness and this was Splinter's way of helping him out ^^
Well, I do believe that Mikey and Donnie will probably stop training. Leo will carry on his legacy, and Raph will be more brute and less ninja. I do believe that out of the four, he is the one who will likely smoke.
As for drinking, well, they already do in the comics There was even one issue where they were ambushed while one of the guys was shit-faced XD

My sister really wants to get that comic issue (she's the oldest in my family, so she likes Leo). I'm fuzzy to why Leo's blind in that one though
It's almost guaranteed that Mikey and Don would stop training (Mikey too lazy and Don doesn't like to fight in the first place). Raph probably will visit bars daily with Casey and be a regular drinker/smoker.
Leo I feel will try true to Splinter's will after his passing and start his own ninja clan and be a master himself. Only ritual smoking and drinking will be allowed for him (wanting to keep his temple aka body as clean as possible).
Mikey would probably smoke and drink with Raph on occasion while I feel Don would only drink wine and never smoke if he can help it. (Though in my DoTT fic , Don got addicted to nicotine and uses patches to hide his smoking habit from his girlfriend- having him working in a strip nightclub probably didn't help though, lots of smokers there.)
I'm sure the Turtles enjoy their beer, even slugs do (Animals can get just as addicted as people it seems.)

Haha, well I'm the third child out of four, just like Raph.
Leo was temporarily blinded during a fight with the foot, I think. I'd check (the backstory behind his blindness is written on the inside cover) but I'm at work right now, no TMNT comics here
I dunno about Don and wine. To me, I think he'd most likely just stick to soda, hahaha. But that's my view of Donnie. Raph drinks just about anything (although in "Raphael: Bad Moon Rising", he almost hurled when he found out what that good alcohol under the sea was made of XD)
And elaborating in the more brute and less ninja thing with Raph, in the comics you see him often donning non-ninja artillery. And remember what he said in that mini-series with Casey: "I love this gun shit."

Sorry for the late reply
You'd be right about Donnie and soda, he loves the stuff (and so do I! Makes me happy that Don loves the same soft drink I do).
I can believe Raph would go for guns more since he did it even in the 80's series in the Red Sky episodes. He kept pushing for guns instead of ninja weapons and plain ninja stealth.
I've heard in the RP world, Leo's a master with guns as crazy as that sounds. Leo, to me, always seemed like a swords-forever-and-only type, ya know? ^^

Well, the whole comic is done in silhouette (up until Leonardo's drugged vision) so you don't actually get to see any faces 'till then. But Master Splinter just kept on talking. He says "Drink it and open your mind."
So... It might really be drugs XD

I was always impressed at how much creativity came through in the comics, especially by the guest artists. you got everything from crazy insane funny, to deeply emotional and heartwrenching. really they managed so much more, I feel, than pretty much any other american comics.
on another note, did you know that Shredder, for a brief period of time was named "Grate Man"? eastman and laird were cleaning up after dinner and talking about the what they should do for the main bad guy and one of them (which one escapes me now, but I'm leaning towards Laird) slid one of those 4 sided cheese graters over his forarm and said "how bout a guy who's got these blades all over his arms and we can call him 'Grate Man'!" the blades stuck, but thankfully the name changed

Yeah, they really explored a lot of angles in those comics! Granted, with all that variety there would be some takes that I can't appreciate, but still, I love the flexibility.
Hahaha no, I did not know that. I am now reminded of the turtles' first encounter with the Shredder in the old series.
Shredder: You may all call me "The Shredder".
Raphael: A kitchen utensil?
