I just needed a combo breaker from all the TMNT/Foot-Tech/Yoko stuff. Here's another 80's favorite!Don't tell me Rainbow Brite was lame. She rode bareback and had a tattoo on her freaking FACE. Bitch was hardcore.

I never saw the cartoons...had no idea there was a series O_o...but somewhere packed away I know I have a recorded movie (along with The Christmas that Almost Wasn't and I think a very dark version of Wizard of Oz 2 (Poisoned chicken eggs that kill Rock people Oo)

I had a friend try to tell me that RBrite was a bad role model a few months ago. I was like, WOMAN! Rainbow Brite fought the King of Shadows with nothing but a belt!
She may have had a pony tail and a talking horsie, but she also had a facial tattoo, moon boots, and a freakinβ posse. She was a career woman with no love interests and nothing but the safety and wellness of her team of color-kids, her nation-state in the clouds, and our planet on her mind.
I will not hear talk of RBrite being a girly-girl.

The cartoon sucks monkey-butt, but I do like the majority of the flower-girl character designs. (I'm not down with the villains or the more heavy-handed 'omg cultural!' flower-girls, but I'll take the rest as being fairly unique and pleasantly NON-BOOBERIFIC.

And what also makes me love this art is that you added a "strenght look" on her. In the cartoon she was really a sweety and adorable firl, but here there is like... a more determined pose, a more "grown up" expression, like she will be able to face everything... and the wat she is riding him, she knows that she will face something quite fearsome, but nothing will stop her... as well a very very dinamic pose, almost like a photo shot
