Description Still no scanner, so I'm coloring old doodles

I just made this drawing for the animation class I taught during summer to show the students how an 8-head proportion character may look like. They were having trouble imagining a character that's 8 heads tall, and were drawing people with neverending limbs Most of my students use the 6-head proportion.

Actually, I usually use just 6 heads myself

I never understood how that 'head' thing helped with a drawing, really... but I hardly ever pay attention to tutorials like that >D

I really like the girl's hair~ it kinda looked like a Tifa fanart in the preview, esp with the hair not being completely colored in (kinda looks like the ponytail she wears). And yes, VERY short shorts, lol~ Not the kind I could ever wear @_@!

Can't resist those short shorts. I also prefer the 6-head proportions. It's non-superhero. Not that I hate superheroes, but there's too many of them. I just think that if you could save the world, say, with a frying pan for a bludgeoning weapon and a wok for a helmet, then why the hell not? And maybe I prefer that proportion because I'm also 6-head proportioned.

Grammar nazis should unite. We shall provide spellcheck and grammar check where they're not within reach. *runs for cover while wearing a wok as a helmet*

Hahah yeah, I'm only about six heads myself. Maybe you draw what you are. Like that "your art is a reflection of you" thing. Ehehe. The superhero concept was started by people who *are* composed of 8 heads. Haha

I've never consciously used a head-scale for my drawings. Does it help somehow? I find my characters always end up looking... very tall. Mind you, most of them are suppossed to be, but like... they turn out inhumanly tall... o.O;

Oh well I don't consciously use a head scale either. But you know how you already have this proportion thing built into you, and when you draw without thinking that's what usually comes out. So... I don't really know if it helps if you're already used to something else

I've ..... never used a head count lol i just sketch and redo if it looks poo. never ever used that face proportion thing either, with the lines and such

Paint tyle is more fun and takes less time I still do cel style sometimes though!

If I draw without thinking for girls it will usually be six heads, and 7 - 8 heads for guys. I only plan the head count when I have to
