After some RP'ing with bbb35 , this idea came up.
Hawk as a male Harpy and Yara as a mermaid Siren
This was extremely fun

Hawk is flying over the ocean, humming some Frank Sinatra song. His eye suddenly falls on a moving shape on some random rock in the middle of the ocean. Curious as he gets, he goes to check it out. But as awesome as he sees himself, he manages to do a double flip while descending to the moving figure.
Hawk: Oh yeah, who rocks?

Hawk: Why hello there love~ *wink*
Yara: *stares curiously* What are you?
Hawk: You could have started with 'who are you', but okay.

Yara: I'm sorry, my Queen always chiding me for focusing more on art, and not on reading up on other male species. It's sortaΒ a rule when your a Siren, you got to look up and learn ALL you can on EVERY species and Race fo males....I'm yara. Named after what our kind are called in Africa, and you are?

Hawk: I am the most handsome and ever so amazing harpy around the whole Globe. But you are allowed to simply call me Hawk.
Yara: Hawk? Seems like both our names are a link to our species!
Hawk: Well, that's the first thing we have in common. *lands on Yara's rock, settles him and casually drapes an arm over Yara*

Hawk: Ugh! *wipes face* What's this about? Where are you going?

Yara: Sorry, so, Hawk....(leans up onto rock, letting her tail swirl in the water behind her ad giving Hawk a shy look) What brings a harpy-male so far out into Poseidon's realm?

Hawk: Ah, you know. If you fly over the ocean, and you see nothing but ocean, it gives me a nice feeling. Like I'm entirely free, you know?
That and I heard about these charming creatures that might appear *wink*

Yara; Oh....I'm nothing special...I play the harp, but I can't really sing well...

Hawk: You and I might seem more alike than it seems. *sigh* Harpies are supposed to have a good aim, especially the hawk species, and be able to gracefully yet deadly catch prey in mid flight. But I am not that good at it... I prefer doing acrobatics in the air! Because let's be honest, I'm drop dead amazing at that *proud*

*Hawk leans too close in and falls in the water, tackling Yara in between so they both fall in the water*
Yara: *quickly backs up* Hawk! Are you okay? S-say something!
Hawk: *splutter* *gag* Damn! If my feathers get this wet, I won't be able to fly straight on for a while.
Yara: Then we'll just have to wait here in the sun till you dry up~
Hawk: Yeah. Thankfully... *looks into Yara's eyes* The weather is nice.
