Aw man; seeing your WIP's is so inspiring; All the little details you put into your drawings is amazing! I LOVE how you outlined this; it looks so soft and smooth, and the subtle shading is perfect! It really helps bringing so many dimensions to this drawing, and the changing thickness of the outline really is stunning and just... daw... just damn beautiful! Her design is WONDERFUL and I love the more maritime look, which stands out from the 'regular mermaids'. Oh and that fish... I don't know why, but that is just fucking cute!

I think I just have a hard time have a steady hand when it comes to outlining traditional art. Or maybe just gotta move the paper around more.

Ah I have the same problem too! My hands shakes a lot.
Moving the paper around does work, your hand feels more comfortable and less shaky to draw certain curved lines, so moving the paper might help you subdue your shaky hand
