Since I'm slow as fuck, I decided to upload the lineart just to show I am working on it...
Ah, I'm so sorry for my slow retardness ;__;
This is how I imagine a double date between these four. Dawson x Edith all spontaneous, while Birdie x Basil will be all awkward and blushing.

Oh man... I feel terrible for not having replied on this before... As usual, I just really want to leave a good comment on these pieces, because by HELL they deserve it, and I'd be damned if I just leave a 'cool' or 'awesome'. NO...

Anyway; first of all this setup is really cute! I am amazed by how you managed to place all these characters in one drawing, and even more impressed with you placing them around a table and STILL having them interact so intimately with one another.
Dawson and Edith are just fucking cute! They are so chilled and relaxed and they seemed to be absolutely at ease with this situation. You'd think they'd been together forever - Dawson is just cute, with his little moustache and his very snazzy gloves and the way he eyes Edith is just beyond endearing; you can really tell by this picture that he utterly adores her; and Edith is exactly the same. I love how happy she looks, being in his company and intertwining her fingers with his. It's a surprisingly intimate gesture, but I really like how they seem so into each other to not be bothered by what other people might think. Β And I'd be damned if Edith isn't looking her best! She is GORGEOUS in your style, 'nuff said!
Oooooh and then we have the young lovers... or what will eventually become the young lovers 
OH BIRDIE YOU ADORABLE SOB! I can almost hear that nervous laughter of hers, trying to somehow make their conversation seem smooth and natural, and absolutely saying ALL the wrong things

It was nice to draw four characters in one drawing, and then compose them around a table.

Seriously though - you work so well with these pairings and I love how different these two couples are - in fact, I don't they could be more opposite... except for the fact that both couples love each other very very much

I love how... untraditional it is; I mean, in the movie-sense. Birdie is sweet, shy, rural and still she's got like SO much attitude; Basil is logical, cool, collected and somewhat crazy... But these two together... now that's an netirely different story, and I love how hard it is for those two to express how they feel!
