I always wondered why Darth Vader had two capes. There is the one we usually see on the outside and then there is the one that is held by his belt. Maybe when he loses his first cape, he has the second to replace it? Maybe he's batman? :/

I think its just a loincloth-like cloth. Same fashion as one, but with a purpose for adding flair to the armor.
