Description So I finally fixed Jiggleypuff's eye problem. And this time I crocheted them instead, which way faster XD and much better. And since it's fixed it is now on my etsy :3 . www.etsy.com/listing/174239134… ?

Aside from that, I'm debating if I will change the image out of the other one for this one but at the same time I don't want to cover up a mistake. What do you guys think?

D'aw, it looks very nice. The eyes certainly make it look much bouncier now. Great job with the small fix that you made on this great doll, friend.

Well, I'll be looking forward to seeing the other things that you touched up, as I'm sure they could only help them look better. Great job, again.

Agreed it is nice knowing I can fix things if I want to and most times I want to since I don't like making things that I find mediocre or just made incorrectly. Thank you

Yeah, I know that's a great feeling, when given the opportunity. I know that I really hate it when things don't quite turn out the way I picture them the first time. You are very welcome.

It's a fantastic feeling, but my line of work usually makes it pretty easy for me to re-do things, there are only a few mistakes I can't fix...like if I use the wrong sized eyes or give the two different eyes on accident >_< But this is why I have to make sure I don't do that. ALthough thankfully most of my things turn out how I want them too.

Yeah, I can see how fixing crochet mistakes would be somewhat easier than other traditional mediums of art, like myself Still, acknowledging the factors to be fixed can never do any less than work in your favor Very nice that it usually turns out the way you want though

And I also have the advantage that I don't have to save my every move in fear that I may screw everything up...or something along those lines. Agreed, have to learn from my mistakes and if I can fix my mistakes that's even better What can I say? I either shoot to normal rates or have low standards XD Just kidding, I'm just getting better at what I do XD

Aw, well don't worry about it. As your royal adviser, I say that so long as you maintain a solid foundation for your empire of yarn, you'll be bound to rake in more subjects of worship and request, my friend.

Heheh. Yeah, that kinda sucks; one of the other downsides of netfilx, I suppose. Still, pretty cool that you would remember it too, especially since I know that Disney's not for everyone.

Good kid's show, and pretty thought out for its time.

I thought Recess was an ABC film...so 20th century or something...not disney at least. But i'm sure I can find it online but I mostly want to watch it with my roommate since we both randomly talk about it, almost as far as quoting it haha.

It was a nice show, a neat premise indeed. Although I still think it's sorta racists that the black kid was a basketball player but it's whatever :-P

Heheh. That's certainly an interesting misconception, but not irrational. Hey, if you do end up finding it online, and want to watch it, I'd say go for it, and let me know what you'd think of it from an adult perspective

I guess that was a bit of a one-sided portrayal, but he also had a keen sense of fashion, as well

Haha, well at least they added other races then just white people XD I'm sure it won't be that hard to find, and I will be sure to tell you how my opinion of it has change...my assuming it's just going to be a bit lamer then I remember haha. But I'm sure it still will be nice...also I'm sure I'll sympathize more with the teachers then the students..but that happened a few times when I was younger.Β

I don't remember him being a fashionista XD

Yeah, I guess they did have that going for them, and they did it well, too. Yeah, looking back on things, they do turn out to be a lot more cliche than when we were kids. Kinda puts the burden of the teachers in perspective when you think about it, also; that was a good point.

Just thought of the one where he went around in high heels to show his friend how to walk for a pageant, and he was practically a natural

That's the nice thing about childhood, you're not often aware of cliches and tropes so everything is easier to enjoy. Although I'm sure some clever kids can realize where something is going. But sometimes predictably is a relaxing thing. And yeah, I always felt bad for the Miss Finster sometime...but I tend to sympathies with teachers who have to deal with misbehaving children. But I also believe I'm something of a teacher pet...but more in the sense that I liked to behave so that class would go smoothly with no interruptions...now that changed a bit when I got older but that was due to the fact that I had a few teachers who'd go WAYY of subject...or I just had to tell a joke to a friend before the moment was lost and the impact wouldn't have been as great.

Okay...I now I have to re-watch the series. Because I do not remember that one bit. -_- Thanks Alex!

Yeah, I guess that's part of what makes them such an easy medium for the entertainment and merchandising industry And yes, from time to time, they do tend to catch on to something bigger with the work at hand (probably how many were able to tell when certain shows were going bad, like Spongebob) Heheh. Miss Finster was certainly a bittersweet character for the show. I can relate to the behavior in class bit, though, (ah back when we thought education would get us somewhere )

Well, like I said, if you do feel like rewatching it, I'd say go for it. The episode in of itself is actually pretty important for developing one of the main characters, the spunky girl. You are very welcome, Janene, my web buddy.

YarnHoardingDragon In reply to magusVroth [2014-01-13 23:35:45 +0000 UTC]

Agreed and MIss Finster was quite the bittersweet character.. And I'm very much surprised how in elementary school I acted compared to high school haha. There are still a lot of the same behaviors but I do feel Elementary school was just super easy and the basics of what we need, while anything above it is just bonus education haha.

I watched it, I forgot how quick those episodes are but they are only 10 minutes long. He really got into that pageant to well, what a diva haha. And the spunky girl's voice reminds me to much of Rainbow Dash...another spunky girl character haha. But I don't think I'll be re watching the whole series just a choice few episodes haha.Β

Yeah, definitely shows how far an antagonistic force can be portrayed from time to time, doesn't it? Looking back, we always tend to find ourselves surprised at the way we used to be, sometimes with amusement and sometimes with guilt... Elementary school certainly did seem like a much simpler and friendlier time in one's life, didn't it? And all of the above only served as a mere enhancement for the real world, I suppose...

Heheh. Yeah, I don't think you should have to watch the whole thing to get the basic gist of the show, really. Short but simple enough to get the message across. And yeah, looking back, they do have some similar voices, even without being from the same voice actresses

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

YarnHoardingDragon In reply to magusVroth [2014-01-14 23:33:02 +0000 UTC]

Agreed I usually do like shows that have an episode where the antagonist is on the side of the protagonist. Gives a different view of things. Haha That's very true, I know I often was quite a brat when I was younger and rather stubborn on things. I also fear that I was probably rather annoying even though I thought I was rather intelligent. But yes, elementary school did seem a lot simpler, since things are so fresh and new and usually mixed with a lot of innocents and ignorance. But I don't think it's a mere it's rather powerful in a way.

Indeed haha since I just wanted to ease my curiosity. And we've talked about this before but it's always surprising to see what many of the same voice actors in a lot of shows. And I'm sure there are certain types of voices that are usually found in it.Β

magusVroth In reply to YarnHoardingDragon [2014-01-15 00:07:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it's definitely cool to show that even if they might not like one another, they can still have a similar consideration for each other. Heck, childhood often always starts one off with viewing things from one-sided lights, causing their opinions on things to become very jaded. I think it's only when we take the foundation of what we know and let it grow with us through the rest of our schooling that we're able to fully enrich ourselves as the kind of people who we ought to be.

I will definitely agree with you on the bit of the voices, and I'm glad that this little trip down memory lane was an enriching one; shedding some light on the past but also apparently showing how much we've grown, y'know?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

YarnHoardingDragon In reply to magusVroth [2014-01-15 00:23:07 +0000 UTC]

Indeed, we are similar in many ways so it's nice to let that surface. And yeah it does seem like in childhood a lot is taken in only on one-side and not seeing the full picture. But this might also be to allow there to be a foundation to be set before they can see the whole 360 degree of the situation or experience. And again you are quite right, letting it grow with us is the best way to enrich ourselves Β

Haha it was just a nice reminder. But watching Recess wasn't that enlightening haha. But that is true though, I read somewhere once that if you watch one movie in three different times in your life you'll get a different meaning from it each time. And I can so with some really greatly written movies, it is true.Β
