MIshima visited the shrine to collect data for his 'The Sea of fertility'. Its result is evident in volume 3, 'Temple of the dawn'.

The word '清明 (seimei)' means 'clear, bright'.

Oomiwa mount that Honda Shigekuni climbed in the novel is the main alter of Oomiwa Jinja.
