Description
This is one of the tomb of a circular shape with a rectangular frontage (前方後円墳).You know, it has a shape of key hole.
If you look into the photo carefully, you'll find surveyor at the foot of the tomb.

Can you accede the inside of the tumulus? In Brittany we have many tumulus, we can go inside and see the funeral stones, some are engraved.

Just now I researched about Suyama tumulus for reply to you, and noticed that the tomb in the photo is not Suyama, but Nikiyama tumulus. Oh
Inside of Nikiyama tumulus is not known at present, because it's supposed to be royal monument. So it's kept concealed. Maybe someday, when ready for search is prepared, it'll be somewhat unveiled by archeologists.

Hem, actually it is not in UK, but in my home land , Brittany, in the North West of France, an old Celtic Country with loads of megaliths. The painting on pay page is my own vision of the inside of a tumulus near Vannes! I think there is also the photo in my gallery ( i have to check
