When I just can't find my way
You are always there for me...
This was one of my favorite episodes... Poor Rolo he needs more love. There are so many haters out there...but in reality Rolo, for me at least, is one of the most wonderful characters in Code Geass... I hear people saying "He deserved this! He wanted to kill Nunnally and replace her!"
Well...they forget that this poor child grew up without any love from his family, he never met biological parents and he never met anyone who loved him for real. He got his Geass at the age of six and ever since the only thing he did was to kill because others told him to.
He never really had the chance to find a path on his own...so...killing was the only thing he knew for sure... And he was desperate because he had heard Lelouch whispering her name in his half-unconscious state and so Rolo was scared because he knew that Nunnally had Lelouch's heart truly and not him.
So he wanted desperately not to lose the only family he thought he had. So the only thing he could think of was to kill the...antagonist and become Lelouch's company, to comfort him and take her place in his heart and his own place in a family.
Others say "Oh I hate him cause he killed Sharley!" and I would answer; "didn't you notice why?" And indeed. He did it because he got scared again. Probably only a small part of himself thought she was danger for Lelouch. The other part was that he got scared of be left alone of Lelouch had someone to love more than him and so he did the only thing his panic allowed him to think of; eliminate her.
Also Rolo was the only one along with C.C that remained on Lelouch's side till the end. No matter what Lelouch did to him, he didn't abandon him, while Nunnally did (of course I do not blame her either but still...)
Even when Lelouch treated him like trash, Rolo remained by his side till his last breath... Your picture is one of my favorite moments of the entire anime of both seasons and I love it...it is so emotional...and so beautiful..
Also the snow all around is adding more melancholic feelings... Framing Rolo's sad eyes wonderfully. You did great job

I love this drawing although its sad what happened to him.

For some reason, this was one of the saddest moments in the show for me. Rolo gets too much hate when his actions are reasonable of his character.

I'm not on that episode yet, barely 6th of r2... but damn I already know what happens and I'm ALREADY depressing over it gah.... he loved his Nii-san so much... I can't believe Lelouch that he used him like that, after all, wasn't it that the year they spent together was true! They were happy! If they were not meant to get along in any way, then they wouldn't, false memories or not! Stupid selfish Lulu....
I hated Shirley, her death only made me love Rolo more =w=b (no intents of chara bashing, mind ya people)
